Chapter 9
*Time skip to October 22nd*
“Don’t forget to meet up with Ryan after the game.” My dad told me.
“Kay I won’t.” I told him. Ryan was my little cousin, he goes to school at Livermore, but he’s in like middle school.
“Are you going to be warm enough?” My dad asked me, it was supposed to be really cold tonight.
“Yes dad! I’m wearing jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, a tee-shirt, and my fox sweatshirt I got from Halia.” I told him.
I had a feeling that I would be extra warm tonight. I even had a fleece sweater thing in case I got cold. Just then I heard my grandpa’s truck outside and ran out excited to get to the game. We talked about how it could be the last game and then we got Jasey and headed to the game.
“Hey, do you know how much it is to get in?” She asked me.
“I just brought five bucks, I didn’t know other than that.”
We got to the place where we paid, found out it was a dollar and then went in. I handed her my extra sweatshirt that I brought knowing that she would get cold. We decided to walk around for a bit looking for people we said we would meet.
Eventually we ran into our friends Kaden and Evan. Evan moved to Livermore about a month back and its been so boring without him. He was basically the funniest guy that I knew. Even though I had seen and given Evan a hug earlier when I saw him at school (he came to our school for guitar lessons, Jay and Livermore did stuff like that) we still ran up to hug him. Jasey got a hug from him first, then as I was getting my hug I could see her getting another one from Kaden! I thought it was cute because she likes him a lot, though at the moment he didn’t know. Once I was done hugging Evan I stepped back and saw Kaden open his arms.
I looked at him confused for a second before he said “Come here.”
I then realized he too wanted a hug so I gave him one. It was strange, he usually didn’t give me hugs. After that Jasey and I walked around some more. After about ten minutes we ran into my friend Brandon who’s a senior.
“OH MY GOD BRANDON!!!” I yelled running to him.
“OH MY GOD KIANNA!” He yelled back meeting me halfway.
I gave him a huge hug and then we walked back to Jasey. I turned around to look at someone who called my name and when I looked back they were huddling together trying to get warm.
“What about me?” I asked putting on a sad face.
“Oh do you want to get in on this?” Jasey asked me.
“No, its fine, but hey Brandon you love me right?” I said looking at him.
“What do you want?” He asked knowing the tone of voice I was using meant I wanted something.
“You should let me wear your hat?” I asked him. “Pretty please?”
“No way! Its my hat! I need it to keep my head warm!” I told me.
“But I’m more important!” I said jokingly.
“Fine! Wear my hat.” He said handing it over.
“Thank you so much, I love you Brandon!” I said taking it and putting it on my head.
After about five minutes we went around in search of Brandon’s girlfriend Britney. We eventually found her by the food stand.
“Surprise surprise! We found you by the food! How unusual...” I said joking around, we were always mean to each other.
Brandon and her started holding hands and being lovey-dovey which sickened me a little so we departed ways, Jasey and I heading towards the side lines where our team was. The score was seven to zero, and we were losing.
