As I was stepping out of the car and getting my stuff I heard another door shut. I then said my good-bye and shut my own door looking up. Kassidy had just gotten out of her car and was standing there looking at me as if too see if it was really me.
“JACKALIN!” She yelled and then started running towards me.
“KASSIDY!” I yelled back also running.
We met in the middle of the parking lot. As soon as we met up I let my bags drop to the ground and she jumped up in my arms giving me a hug, kind of like when you and your boyfriend from the army are seeing each other, and then you kiss while he is twirling you two around. Except the only difference is I didn’t kiss her, and I didn’t twirl her either. When I put her down I looked up and saw her eyes getting a little moist. She too noticed this and quickly wiped away the tear. After that she hugged me again then took my bags and we walked back over to her car. We threw the bags in and then jumped into the back seat.
“Jackie! Man I gotta tell yah I’ve certainly missed hearing your voice around my house! It’s been too long girl!” Her mom Lona told me looking in the rearview mirror.
“Yeah it has been. I’ve missed spreading my voice around your house!” I replied laughing.
The rest of the ride was silent and it took less time than it would for most people to drive to Mexico. (and no not the country or the state, its a town kay?) I was smiling the whole time and when we reached their apartment I didn’t get out because I thought they were just dropping off Lona’s friend.
“Hey you comin’?” Kassidy said looking at me.
“Oh this is where you live?” I said looking at her.
She nodded her head and I exited the vehicle taking my bags with me. When we reached her door she unlocked it then looked at me smiling. She stepped in and I did too not far behind. I walked about two feet and saw a doorway and then continued to follow Kassidy to her room. We finally got there and she apologized for the mess. I walked in and my jaw dropped.
“Holy crap, this is your room!?” I said looking around it.
She nodded and smiled, “Like it?”
“Dude! It’s sick! It’s twice the size of my room, and wow you have a room to yourself finally!” I was astonished.
“Yeah, we each have our own room now. And my mom even has her own room, its amazing.” Kassidy said as we went to finish to tour.
She then headed to show me the second most important room, the kitchen. All together the apartment had seven rooms. Of which included four bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. I was surprised they could afford this but I didn’t say anything. After that me and Kassidy went back into her room to catch up on what had been happening lately and I told her about my church experience. She asked what the people looked like so I opened up my laptop and got on facebook to show her. After about five people I had a feeling I was forgetting someone and then suddenly I remembered, but only because I saw his name on the chatbox. I clicked it and then went to his profile page. His name was Aaron and he’s tall and really cool. He has dark eyes and is pretty quiet so thats probably why I almost forgot about him. After I clicked his name I went to his profile
I was just about done when I thought of another one of the kids there. His name was Aaron, but he’d been very quite so I had almost forgot about him. I clicked on his name and then went to his pictures so I could show Kassidy. When I was done I went back to the homepage and got off the bed to change and take a sip out of our shared two liter of Dr. Pepper. When I got back I saw that I had some facebook IMs and went to check them. After about five minutes I saw the arrow telling me I had more chats open. I clicked the arrow and saw Aaron’s chatbox was still up. I clicked on it about to close it out when I saw writing. I was about to freak thinking I had typed something by accident when I saw his picture not mine.
