He said leaning closer and Nandini closed her eyes expecting him to kiss her but he just moved back and played down beside her with his right arm under his head. Nandini opened her eyes and found him laying down so she moved and laid on top of his chest with her chin under her arm on his chest.

Manik: its not why you think its because I know you are tired and you need time no matter what you say so don't go running thoughts in that brain

Manik closed his eyes knowing she will soon fall a sleep if he acts like sleeping. But the whole time Nandini was staring at Manik and he knew she was so he kept his eyes closed. A few minutes later he felt her lips on his as she pecked his lips so he opened his eyes knowing she is definitely thinking something

Manik: kya chal raha hai meri jaan kai dimag mai

Nandini: kuch bhi ni

Manik: acha chalo phir close your eyes

Nandini: no

Manik: shona please its 3 in the morning

Nandini: hmm

She said and Manik knew what's cooking in her brain

Manik: I'm not going anywhere, I promise when you wake up ill be here

He said pecking her cheeks. He closed her eyes and then pecked her nose. She rested her head on his chest and he was continuously caressing her hair with his right hand while Nandini was holding onto his left hand. Within minutes she was a sleep and Manik closed his eyes too but wasn't able to fall a sleep but kept them close

The sun was shinning bright, there were no clouds, it was one of those beautiful days with a clear sky. Everyone was up and back to their normal routine while our manan were still sleeping well Nandini was sleeping while Manik was still awake.

He never slept because every time he closed his eyes he saw Nandini in that state with bruises and the fear of losing her kept him up. It was 10 in the morning when Nandini moved and Manik came out of his thoughts and opened his eyes.

He saw her cuddling closer in his arm which was on the bed but Manik knew she was gonna wake up soon. He half got up and shuffled back resting his back on the headboard. Nandini moved her arm on his stomach and moved her head on his chest. He kept caressing her hair and his phone rang which is he picked up before Nandini could wake up.

On the phone

Manik: hello uncle

Doctor: good morning Manik

Manik: morning uncle, umm Nandini kai blood test ka result Aya

Doctor: han that's why I called. So her blood sample had traces of a sleeping drug in a high concentration so just know that it'll take time for that drug to be removed so she might be extra sleepy but don't let her sleep too much. She might also be moody because the medicine might mess with her hormones. I will send her medication which will help subside the drug. Dont worry its not something you should worry about too much oh and how is she feeling

Manik: she is trying to stay strong

Doctor: manik, ill take a few days but it'll be okay

Manik: thank you uncle

He said and cut the call. He looked down at her face which was dull but she didn't have frowns. He was about to get up and shower but remembered her crying last night because of it so he stayed. He stayed caressing her hair until she was up. She moved in her sleep and opened her eyes. She sees herself on her chest and looks up.

Manik: good morning shona

He said with a smile and that smile radiated on her face too

Nandini: good morning mani

She said and moved closer to his face and rubbed her cheeks on his and giggled

Nandini: your stubble is poky poky

She said pecking his cheek and Manik smiled.

Manik: chalo tho you lazy girl its 12

Nandini got up immediately hearing the time
