Chapter 5

"beh? Uuwi ako diyan."

"Gusto kitang makita."

Kakatapos lang naming mag soc ulit ni Xavier and 'yan yung chinat niya sakin. I don't know what to feel.

"Huh? Bakit?" I replied.

"Wala gusto ko lang."

"Wag na haha d nmn ako magnda sa personal and you'll be disappointed lng" I chatted again.

"And so? Basta wag mo nalang problemahin baka d matuloy."

So sinasabi niya na 'di ako maganda talaga? And so? Huh. Joke ba yun. 

"Haha cgeh" I replied.

Pero bakit gusto niya akong makita? Kinabahan tuloy ako. Pero hindi naman mangyayari yun kung hindi ako sisipot. Bahala na nga.

"You'll be quarantined if uuwi ka" I chatted again.

"That's the protocol. Kabado kna ba huh? Haha. Mukang di mo nmn ata ako sisiputin eh"

"Hindi nga" I replied.

"Kadie, you have a new commission! Special requests ng client." Tumingin ako kay Sir Matt then put my phone on my desk.

"Heads and size?" I asked Sir Matt. I'm not done yet with my portraits and I need to rush the other one since this Saturday na kukunin and it's Thursday now, so I only have 2 days. I have so many workloads this week! It will affect the sales if I can't do it on time.  Lagot na naman ako nito kay Matthew.

"2 heads lang naman. But the size is kinda big I will just ask the client for the exact size later. Colored." I crouched and pouted my lips then soak the paintbrush in the water container beside me.

"When will be the pick up time?"

"I'll ask the client again later so chill." He said.

"Ahem. Excuse me" kakarating lang ni Trisha and she's late which is very odd. Sir Matt then go upstairs sa office niya.

"Bakit late ka?" I asked her.

"Emergency." I didn't bother to ask more questions since I think she don't want to talk about it. I just nodded and continue my work of art.

The time flew so fast and my days went good so far except that Xavier didn't bother to chat me anymore. I didn't chat him either. Hindi naman sa umaasa ako but the last thing I know is we're good. Ewan na ghost na ata ako 'di pa naman November. Hayaan na nga mukang kabute naman yun laging pasulpot-sulpot sa buhay ko.

Nung lunch na niyaya ako nila Trisha and Max since we are given lots of time for our break we go to the nearest mall. Besides dadaan pa kami sa NBS.

Since pandemic pa ngayon we're wearing our facemask inside the mall, gladly na nag start na operate sila.

"Saan tayo?" I asked them both.

"Gusto kong magkamay, Mang Inasal" my mouth watered upon hearing that.

"Sige dun tayo" Trish second Max.

Kahit maraming tao nakapila rin kami, and I think it's more safe to use our hands to eat rather than to use utensils that we didn't know where it came from.

"Trish kaw na mag order while we search for our table" I said to her and she only nodded busy typing on her phone.

So ayun na nga, nakahanap rin kami agad ng table for four kahit tatlo lng naman kami. I needed to go to the bathroom and to wash my hands. After I came back si Trisha na yung nakaupo sa table namin.
