I'm so sorry guys I've gone MIA for the past few days🥺 You guys really deserved an update and I'm so sorry y'all. Forgive me pleaseeeeeee

"Can I please borrow your lecture notes? I want to photocopy them" She asked the girl sitting down next to her whilst shoving her large ten-in-one book into her backpack "Sure" The girl smiled, stretching her arms to hand her the lecture notes

"Thank you" Khairi reciprocated her smile and fished out her phone from her dress pocket "Can I have you number then, so I can phone you when I'm done?"

"Yeah sure" She collected the phone and typed down the number "Mimi is the name" She added and Khairi smiled again, pocketing back her phone in place not after saving the contact

"Alright I'll call you and nice to meet you Mimi, you can call me Khairi"

The girl nodded and waved at her as she stood up to leave, heaving a tired sigh as she exited the lecture hall. Those two tedious and excruciating hours of physics were not easy, and she's extremely famished
And to think, she also has a chem lecture later in the evening. Who says school is easy! She sighed exasperatedly

Khairi was not that familiar with Bayero University, given she's a new student but the only place she knows by heart is the small restaurant where students normally go to eat and right now her stomach is leading her to the exact place. She adjusted the strap of her backpack and started walking, soon she had arrived at the place

She really needs to learn the name of this restaurant, oh well. As long as she gets to eat and drink then that's not her problem

As soon as her food arrived, she slid of the strap of her backpack so she could place it aside but an angry voice made her freeze in place "What the hell?!" Khairi slowly cocked her head to her right side to see the mess she had just created in the span of seconds. Somehow, her elbow had knocked down the glass plate of the man sitting next to her and all it's contents
The plate had shattered into pieces and the food splattered all across the place

Ya Rabbil Alamin! A gasp escaped her lips and her palm flew her cover her gasp, looking at the owner of the plate she realized he looked angry, really angry "I'm so sorry" She muttered

He had a raised brow, and he was looking at her with complete incredulity "And..." He drawled "Is an apology going to fix our situation?" He now has his arms crossed over his chest

Khairi couldn't help but roll her eyes, how rude! But she still managed to utter out an apology, after all she caused it "I'm really sorry, I'll pay for the damages"

He quirked a brow "Alright, pay up then" The initial anger had diminished and has been replaced with an instant amusement  "I'm waiting" He added

That was a literally the biggest mistake of her life; One, the money she has on her is worth buying a single plate of food. Two, what she spilled back then is only worth two thousand or more, not to mention the damages
