"Hey, baby! We're in California." Monte whispered. "Hm?" I stirred. "Wake up, sweetheart." he said again. "Fine, fine." I mumbled, sitting up. I looked to Mike. He was just waking up. We were landing. "Monte, I'm still tired. I'm even more tired now." I whined. "Baby, you can go back to sleep when we get home. I promise. I'm tired too. We can sleep together." He smiled. "That sounds amazing." I half-smiled. "I'm joining you two." Mike said. "Okay," I laughed. We got off the plane less than 15 minutes later. Monte grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the luggage carousel. "Here's yours, Caity." Mike said. He put it over his shoulder. "Ugh. My messy old purple backpack." I mumbled. "It's cool. It's cute." Monte said, leaning over to kiss my cheek. "Not really. Can we hurry?" I yawned. "Yeah, let's go. Ready Mike?" "Yeah." He said. "Thanks for carrying my bag, Mike." I said. Monte picked me up and put me over his shoulders. "Monte," I grumbled. "We're almost to my car, sweatheart." He said. We were in the parking lot. I whined. "We're at my car, babe." Monte said, opening the back door and laying me down on the seat. Mike got in the passenger's side, and Monte pulled out some keys. "We'll be home in 10 minutes." Monte said. It felt like I blinked, and we were there. Mike opened my door. I got up and Monte opened the front door. "Alright, we have dogs, so careful. The big one is Teddy, the little one is Mike's pug, Yoda. I'll let you go get some sleep and then I'll show you around the house." Monte said. "Thanks," I said, yawning. "Yeah, let's go." He said, picking me up, bridal style. I let my eyes flutter. "And if you said this life ain't good enough, I would give my world to lift you up..." Monte sang. "You're a beautiful singer." I smiled, opening one eye. "Thanks," He laughed, opening the door with his foot. "Monte, I want a kiss goodnight." I said. "I'm going to bed with you." He smiled. "Yay," I sighed. He chuckled. He laid me down on the bed. He walked around to the other side, and crawled under the covers. I pulled the blankets over me. I scooted really close to him. "Monte, where's my kiss?" I pouted. "Right here," He smiled, pressing his lips gently to mine. He put his arm around my waist, and pulled me into his body. He slowly added pressure to the kiss. I couldn't help but smile. He pulled away. "But, but." I said. "Fine." He rolled his eyes and smiled. He put his fingers to my jaw and guided my mouth to his. His lips were about a half inch away from mine. He smiled. "Monte, I love y-" He cut me off with another kiss. One kiss turned into three or four, then to eight or nine. He pulled away. "Now go to sleep." He said. "Okay." I giggled. I buried my face in his chest. "Goodnight, baby." He said. I could hear a smile in his voice. "Goodnight, Monte." I said, my voice muffled by his shirt. I closed my eyes as he wrapped his arms around me. He put his chin on my head and sighed. I smiled, and finally fell asleep, getting some actual GOOD sleep.
