Two years later...

After Alex explained his situation, we all needed time to process. We eventually came up with a plan that would make sure Alex would be free of his bind to Hydra. But it wasn't easy. There were many complications, a lot of us got hurt, badly. But we made it and now, we are all living peacefully at Avengers Compound.

Alex has become a pacifist and has taken an oath to never hurt another being. It was more of a coping skill for himself than anything. Bucky has decided to stay in Wakanda after they helped clear his mind of Hydra's Winter Soldier programming. That kid Peter is now an honorary Avenger, he decided he preferred being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, besides he's still in high school and living his best life.

Thor is still off world. Clint is back to being retired and with his family on their farm. Sam is currently on a little vacation, he went back to his hometown to be with his family. Natasha is also on time-out right now. Though she won't tell anyone else why, she informed me that it had something to do with her past and she needed to check out all points before turning her back.

So as of right now, at the compound, it's just me, Steve, Tony, Vision, Alex and Wanda. Steve and Tony have worked out their differences but of course they still have their usual quick-witted banter and bickering. Vision...is still Vision. Alex mostly stays in his room. Most of the time it feels like it's just Wanda and I.

We've come a long way since the whole Civil War within the Avengers thing. We spent a lot of time kind of discovering how we want to be with each other. Not being possessive or controlling or making it seem like the feelings are one sided, though they are clearly mutual. We've done like our own version of couples counseling without the, you know, counselor. And I'm saying this it sounds a bit much for two 18 years old's to be dealing with.

But this is where we are. Everything is going good. Which is a bad sign. It's been too long without something chaotic happening. Course I spoke too soon.

I was laying in bed with Wanda tucked into my side. Her soft snores being the loudest sound in the room. It was getting close to the afternoon now and any other person would complain about their partner sleeping in so long. Not to mention that we'd been like this for several hours, I just didn't have the heart to get out of bed and potentially wake her from a peaceful looking slumber.

As I was running my fingers through her hair my phone began to vibrate against the nightstand by my side. I reached over and picked it up.

It was Tony.

I answered.

"Hello?" I asked, my voice a bit croaky for lack of use.

"Y/n?" Tony asked. "You up?"

"Yeah, why what's up?" I asked starting to worry at how little he was talking. Once you got Tony on the phone he was usually a rambling mess until you eventually just agreed to whatever he was saying to shut him up.

"You might wanna get Banner 2 and get down here." He said. Banner 2 was Alex because Tony refuses to his name due to the fact "Banner 2 sounds cooler." He sounded a bit worried though.

"Tony? What's going on? Where are you?" I asked, I started to sit up slowly. Carefully removing Wanda from my side so I didn't wake her. I started tying on my shoes while he explained.

"Um, I'm in a wizards house," he said and I stopped tying my shoes.

"Tony, are you drunk again?" I asked dropping my foot.

"No! It's eleven o'clock in the morning, I'm not stupid." So, we have wizards now? I don't know why that's surprising. "Anyway, Steve and I were on out morning walk or whatever and this weird fire ring came out of nowhere and out came this guy who claims his name is Doctor Stephen Strange. Blah blah blah, I didn't really care...but then..."

"Then what?"

"Someone else is here. And he's got quite the story. You just- you need to get down here."

"Okay," I said, by this point I was already throwing on my jacket as I walked out of my room to go get Alex. "But where is "here" exactly?"

"Right, uh, hold on." There was a bit of talking that I couldn't quite make out and then Tony's voice became clear again. "177 Bleecker street." It went silent for a second. "And you might wanna hurry, we might be under another alien attack right about now."

"I'm on my way." I hung up the phone and knocked on Alex's door. A few seconds later the door opened to Alex fully clothed, shoes and all, like he had been planning on leaving. "Going somewhere?" I asked.

"With you, of course." he said. Noticing my confusion, he added, "Sorry, the whole hearing thing can't always help it."

"Right, forgot about that." I gave him another once over and tipped my head to the side giving non-verbal hint that we should get going.

We made our way over to the address Tony gave me. It was a tall brick building and looked like it was from prehistoric times. Why the hell would Tony be here? I knocked on the door and less than a few seconds later a man wearing a long red cape and a weird blue suit. A long necklace hung down to his middle, it's pendant was a weird bronze eye design.

"Ms. Banner," he said in a very formal tone. "We've been waiting."

"Is Mr. Stark here?" Alex asked.

"Yes, come on in." He stepped aside and let us in.

Tony and Steve were standing by a wide staircase that was in the middle of the room. A short bald guy close by who was standing next to-

My eyes started to well with tears. Oh, God. I thought. Oh, God, please tell me I'm dead.

"Hey, Asteroid."
