|Maddison|

How could time fly by so fast, but it did not really feel like it had been years in the make of where your at now. There were a lot of tears and blood that got Maddison the appear she was yearning for, a paper to get out of town. But then her gaze landed on her slightly older sister who was beaming and knew that she could not get out of this town when her sister was going already, who would take care of their dear Lily?

Their eyes met both with a spark of hope and the other full of pride, like a mother that was proud of the achievements her daughter had made. Maddy knew that she wasn't here, just like all other times that was important in their lives, that's why she took the role upon herself and was everywhere for both her sisters big days.

Some days she even skipped school just so she could go to a school performance or a parent conference, by now the whole town knew that the girl was the one running the household.

Mothers of the town had tried to intervene, to no avail. The younger girl was stubborn when it was about her sisters, she was the mother they never really had while growing up. It was a task she fulfilled with more love than anyone could ever give her credit for, she was the smartest of the bunch, but yet she failed by 'misplacing' her homework into her sisters backpack.

She knew that she wanted to get out of the town, Maddy wanted that as well. But she knew that she could not leave her sister by herself with their blood related mother who was heavy on her alcohol and drugs, with a soft sigh a smile painted on her lips as she nodded at Heather, a beaming Look on her face. Yeah, she was proud of her.

Maddison knew that Heather was saving up ever since they were 12, she always told Maddison that it was her money to get out of town, back then she had joked about it. But now, she knew that it was almost time for her to spread her wings and fly far away from here.

But what Heather didn't know was the secret stash that Maddison had saved up, it wasn't in the house for she knew that once her mother needed something, that she would search every corner for a penny.

No, it was somewhere only she knew.

Maddison's eyes roamed the gym where they were seated in rows upon rows with the graduates, her eyes flashed towards her sisters friends and Heather's not so secret crush.

They both only had eyes for each other, but both did nothing with their obvious feelings for one another. No matter how many times Maddison tried to push them together, they always shyly strayed away from each other and started to walk around each other, teasing each other is was exhausting.

There was one thing in this town that had Maddison excited, the Panic.

Every town had some secret, some smaller then others, but a secret nonetheless. Our secret is a game, winners get a way out while the losers would be stuck here in this dramatic town where everyone knows who had sneezed at what time. In Carp, Texas, out is the only place worth going. Nobody wants to be stuck in this god forsaken town, where the sheriff department can be bought for just the right price.
