|Madison pov|

The time flew by as she finally was released from the hospital, Ray and Luke had taken her to their home where the two would live their lives together for as long as they liked. The big surprise from the two brothers was still under wraps and she was not yet allowed to know about it, Ray had won the custody over Lily who was still with their mother for another week until she was going to get settled into their home.

Her mind still reeled over the fact that they owned a place together, first Madison was hesitant about signing the contract but Luke told her that it was something he wanted to gift Ray and herself as some pre-wedding gift. He would not be far from them as he vowed to stay on the property in a cabin that he had cleaned up nicely, the brothers were fixing the main house up in their spare time and hoped that it would eventually feel less cold and more inviting than it had been in all those years.

Madison went back to the farm of Mrs. McCarthy where her beautiful stallion was still waiting upon her arrival, her heart hurt at the realization that she could not be there for him while laying in the hospital. Her sneakers hit the gravel as the small stones made way for her when she was suddenly pulled into a big and warm loving hug, "Dear Madison, I was a bit concerned about you! It's great to see that you're up and on your feet again, darling." The girl smiled shyly at the woman who held her at arms length now, "Oh! Come, come! The tea shall be finished by now."

The girl could not answer her before she was pulled into the main house of Anne, "Go sit, sit." She ushered the girl to take a seat and moved to the open kitchen to pour some tea for the two, "You know, I did see your sister around here but whenever I asked about you she was not overly concerned about you, are you two okay?" The aromas of the tea wafted into her nostrils as she sighed happily at the scent of lavender and sage, "Just the same as always."

"That girl," Anne muttered under her breath as the tea was placed in front of her eyes giving her a once over making Madison self concious about the bruises and scratches that were still on her face. "You know I have seen quite some engagement rings in my life, but that one must be pretty special seeing that it is well worn."

Madison smiled shyly her chin rested on her chest while she played around with the ring on her finger, "Yeah it was my fiance's grandmothers, his brother had gifted him and told him that we were a once in a life-time couple and to never let me go. But honestly," She grinned softly up at Anne who smiled at the girl. "I am the lucky one to have caught his eye,"

"I am proud of you," Anne's hand rested on her own as she patted it softly a couple of times. "But, that means you are not going to college?"

She shook her head, "No, I have always vowed to take care of my siblings first and I have funding for both of them. Heather," She sighed while taking a careful sip of her tea. "She can get out of this town and make a new life, I have saved up for them."

"But what about you?"

Madison smiled a bright smile at Anne, "I think that I will be okay, I have a house with my fiance and I will take some online courses at some local university. Ray is trying to set up a business with his brother, believe it or not but those two make the most beautiful furniture, they are focusing on interior designs and drawing blue-prints for some new houses."
