Lily had just told her that they had been at the haunted Graybill house due to a dare that one of her camp bullies told them to do, like some initiation. Maddy had gotten furious and had wanted to call that girl's parents but stopped when Ray told her that they should let it slide for the time being, she had sighed and crossed her arms feeling infuriated by him for stopping her in making that phone call.
The two had dropped Lilly of at their house where he waited patiently in his car while she went inside to grab her bathing suit, she saw the douchebag of her mothers boyfriend leave the house. She chuckled while taking a drag of her cigarette, watching her daughter in what she could only guess was gloating, there was nothing to gloat about anyway.

Maddy smiled sarcastically at her mother while clasping her hands together in front of her, "Let me guess he fucked you and now you are all lovey dovey again, right? Cause that's how it always goes between you two," She winked at her mother while clicking her tongue against her teeth for good measure. "It must suck, excuse me." She said stepping over her legs an not so accidentally kicked them off the table.
