|Maddison|

It had been exactly two weeks when the second challenge was interupted by the cops and not a single thing was heard or seen that was all about Panic, Maddison just did what she always did before panic came into the picture. She did the household made sure that the girls had dinner on their plates, mended clothing that needed to be fixed and brought them to work and camp.

Most days Ray was found helping her doing chores around the trailer or in town while they were grocery shopping, some days Heather would volunteer in taking care of Lilly and those were the days that Ray and Maddison could spend their free time all alone while being together and got to know each other a whole lot better.

Maddison had spent those days usually at his house where they weren't interupted with their time, Ray also found it to be of importance to have dates atleast twice a week.

They spend it at the movies and sometimes in the diner, but most times they would spend it in the open air where they had their first challenge and sat down on the devil's rock just enjoying the view while they ate some packed up food.

She had to admit that she had not expected Ray to be as romantic as he was with her, his usual tough persona clashed entirely when he was with her. He held her hand everywhere and if he didn't held her hand he held her by the waist while pulling her slightly in his side, he also kissed the palm of her hand of the back of it frequently whenever he felt like it. That was almost 9 out of 10 times when he didn't kiss her senseless.

That was also a thing, after the fight they had at the granery and in his car, you know, when they decided to start over. They had reduced their kissing on their lips for quite a few days until they both felt ready and steady to kiss each others lips again, he never went farther then she was willing to go and neither did she.

They both had set some boundaries and both agreed to wait for the more physical part of their relationship, they agreed that it was better to really slow it down before they went ahead of themselves.

"Welcome to the 25th annual Carp fourth of July parade!" Maddison hear the announcer say in his booth in the town, Ray had his hand on her waist while they watched the carts roll down the street with the dancers on top of them.

"It's amazing," Maddison said with a smile and leaned more into Ray's chest.

He hummed and crossed his arms over each other on her stomach and leaned into her back with his head on top of her own, "You know what makes it better? Being here with you."

"Your such a smooth talker," She laughed at him while grabbing his hands and interwined them with her own before kissing the back of his hand.

"But it's the truth,"

"Y'all better not miss the metal Stampede, coming soon!"

Maddison felt herself grow excited, "Your in it this year as well, right?"
