Back at the C.I.A, Agent Shephard downloaded blueprints of a building owned by Calypso, where they can get a time machine. Catfish Mike woke up from his nap, while Axel was doing sit ups on the concrete floor, sweating.
Officer Roberts waited near Agent Shephard's desk, as he finally got the blueprints. "Alright, these blueprints show where the time machine is located," Shephard explained. "Calypso Self Storage. It's a warehouse, slash laboratory where tons of scientists work on devices for Calypso to use during the Twisted Metal contests."
(Okay, I know that's not true, but you need to wonder where the Juggernaut came from in Twisted Metal 2012. Do you think Calypso built it himself? As explained in Head On, he has guards.) "So how do we get in?" Jamie asked. "I say we go in there, and ask questions to the guards, and arrest them," Mike answered. "That is if they're doing anything illegal in there." "The law enforcement never do anything bad," Axel said. "We should go in there, and steal it."
"Boys, let us handle how to get the time machine," Shephard explained. "Unlike you two, we are professionals at looking into things, because we know what to do when it comes to the law." "Only us two?" Jamie asked. "What about Catfish?" "He can hardly stay awake, to fight back," Shephard answered. "Hey don't blame me," Mike said. "My boss made me spend the entire night watching those bastards in Alcatraz." "And Axel can't come, because he's not wearing a shirt," Shephard explained.
"Can't argue with that," Axel said. "I have some work to do, repairing my, and Catfish's vehicles anyway." Suddenly, before the two could get ready, Officer Roberts's walky-talky buzzed in her pockets. "All units come in," the chief announced. "We have reports of a robbery at Calypso Industries." "We'll have to put this investigation on hold," Jamie said. "Right now?" Shephard asked. "What could be so important?" "Calypso Industries tower was just attacked," Jamie answered. "Apparently some maniac gang broke in, and destroyed the owner's office while he was away taking care of a business matter."
"Leave it to Calypso to interrupt important police work," Shephard commented. "Let's just hurry." "What do we do then?" Mike asked. "You stay awake, and you try not to escape," Shephard answered. "We need everything exactly the same as it was when we get back." "Don't worry about me escaping, detective," Axel explained. "I'm helping you find Mr. Grimm after all. In the end we all need to work together, and get that time machine at the Self Storage." "Well we just established that you two can't come to the building we'll infiltrate, but we'll come back, so we can find him together," Jamie said, and joined Agent Shephard outside as they both got in the Crimson Fury, and Outlaw to drive over to Calypso Industries tower, to see what happened.
