Twisted Metal: The Revenge (Book 01).

Chapter 11: Junkyard Pick Up.

Back with the Grimm search party, Agent Shephard, and Officer Roberts brought the two people from Alcatraz back to the shore as the Crimson Fury switched back from boat, into a spy car, so they can drive on land.

Catfish Mike was asleep the entire time the group was driving to the junkyard to find where all the Twisted Metal vehicles were located. The group literally drove to a junkyard to get the vehicles, and find out which one's both Catfish Mike, and Axel drove. To one of their luck, Agent Shephard remembered exactly what they looked like.

Catfish Mike's vehicle, the Hammerhead was a red monster truck, that had two tires, and a bunch of metal parts that were removed in an explosion. Axel's vehicle was a giant machine that has two giant tires separating each other from the restraint machine in between them. Three of the group got out, while Catfish Mike remained asleep in the backseat of Crimson Fury, while Agent Shephard, Officer Roberts, and Axel took a look at the vehicles that they found near them.

"You drive giant tires?" Jamie asked. "Yep, nothing like dreading around the battlefield with a bunch of massive wheels," Axel answered. "That's how I roll." "Well if that's how you like to live life on the streets, I'm not the one to judge," Shephard explained. "Just let me get the towing cables, and we'll get this back to the C.I.A building with the Hammerhead." "Uh, about that," Jamie said. "The Hammerhead only has two tires." "I have the money for spares, officer," Shephard explained.

The agent got the tow cables out of the trunk of the Crimson Fury, and connected both of them to the Hammerhead, and Axel's giant tire vehicle. On the way back to the C.I.A, Agent Shephard stopped to purchase tires for the Hammerhead at a Michelin, or something. Finally the group got to work, in reinstalling the tires on the Hammerhead, filling it, and Axel's tire vehicle with tanks of gas, and doing the same with the Outlaw, and Crimson Fury. The group entered Agent Shephard's office to talk with Axel. Hopefully, Axel himself will be able to tell the agent, and Officer Roberts why Mr. Grimm made a time wish.

"Alright, now that everything is taken care of, we can continue with finding out more information," Jamie said. "Let's make it quick, though," Shephard explained. "That security guard is still asleep in my car. So spill mate, tell us about Mr. Grimm's old man." "Mr. Grimm's father was a stuntman," Axel explained. "However after a severe motorcycle accident during one of his jumping stunts, his old man never made it. Years later, Daniel went to into the Twisted Metal contest, murdered a giant robot, and later got a wish to save his father." "Perfect, now all we have to do is get a time machine to get Mr. Grimm out," Shephard explained. "Sadly the C.I.A can't develop that, but I know another way we can get one. We'll just have to steal one."
