The preacher agreed with Slash as they both set out to find one of the retired competitors. The first thing to do was to break into a laboratory, and use a time machine for something. Slash didn't know what to do.
"So, what is the point of doing this?" Slash asked. "In 1996 during one of Calypso's tournaments, there was a driver that won, and wished for her car to have the ability to time travel," the preacher answered. "All we have to do is connect the time machine to your truck, and then pick her up. It shouldn't be too hard to find it."
"Wait, it's small enough to connect to the Sweet Tooth?" Slash asked. "Why couldn't I just drive it like a regular vehicle?" "Because in truth, the time machine developed by Calypso Industries isn't actually a vehicle," the preacher answered. "It's a device able to install into a vehicle." As the preacher opened a drawer near one of the desks, the time machine was revealed to be a keychain with a touch panel on it. "Give me your keys," the preacher explained, so Slash did.
Once the preacher had the car keys to the Sweet Tooth, he connected the time machine to the keys, and then gave them back to Slash. "Why'd you connect this time machine to my keys?" Slash asked. "So, you won't lose it," the preacher answered. "Now let's get out of here, before we're noticed." Suddenly, a flashlight shined on both of them. "Hey, what do you two think your doing," a guard standing in the doorway said. "You're not suppose to be in here. I'm afraid you'll both be coming with me."
Slash just shrugged, and threw the chainsaw at the guard who was about to shoot at them. The chainsaw landed on top of the guard that sliced him through his brain, and down enough, until his skeleton got sliced in half, and he fell to the ground. "I'm guessing all of the gore in front of you that I'm causing is scaring you, huh old man?" Slash asked. "On the contrary, since these men work for Calypso, I have no hope for these men." "You're my kind of priest," Slash commented. "Now let's get out of this place before the cops come." Slash, and the preacher high tailed out of the warehouse, and returned to the Sweet Tooth.
Once Slash placed the keys in the ignition, and lowered the brakes, he drove away from the warehouse full of people he just slaughtered. "So, what's the name of this driver we're suppose to find first?" Slash asked. "Her name is Amanda Watts," the preacher answered. "A driver of the vehicle known as the Twister." (Funny thing, that helmet on the Trophy Wall in Calypso's Office. That was the same helmet that was at the ending of Twisted Metal 2.) "What happened with her?" Slash asked. "After wishing for her vehicle to drive at the speed of light, she traveled through time, and ran out of gas, ending up in the prehistoric age," the preacher answered. "Which is the exact same timeline we're going." "Kick ass," Slash commented.
