The wedding was beautiful. When we exited the church around half an hour later, there were the pictures done by a young woman named Celina James at sunset on the beach. Then we had booked the village hall for dinner at 6, with chatting and champagne beforehand, then until two a.m. for dancing etc. We had invited only close friends and relatives, so I wouldn't get too panicked if the dance floor was crowded. As it turned out, I was fine, and after the initial terror of being jilted I calmed down.
Everything went like a dream. It was neat and romantic with candles. The church was old and simple but very beautiful. We didn't cry but Louise and Tanya were sniffling a bit.
We danced our first dance to "Home" by Phil Phillips because I'd heard it on the radio and loved it. Everyone cheered when we kissed and I was so happy.

As we had our pictures taken we both started laughing disbelievingly. We had both arms round each other and we were leaning away from each other, eyes squinting with the sun. Zoe had her head tipped back, the flowers in her braid fluttering and gleaming. She was in tears with laughter, with a huge smile. I was laughing too, swinging her round and round, her feet off the sand, her dress separate from the ground.
I think I fell in love all over again that day.

Just a short one! I thought I'd better let you know that for fear of it becoming too complex, I'm not going into much detail with friends or family. For example, Alfie's great aunt's husband's brother's nephew's daughter's dog isn't going to come into things.
Kisses!
Claudia
