After a long walk, you finally made it back to Urokodaki's hut with Tanjiro.
"Finally, we made it... Nezuko... Urokodaki..." Tanjiro mumbled as he leaned slightly on the branch he carried with him for support walking.
The door to Urokodaki's home was knocked down and out came the one and only, sleeping beauty, Nezuko.
"Nezuko! You're, you're awake!" Tanjiro said as he started running towards Nezuko. Nezuko did the same. Before Tanjiro could reach Nezuko, he fell on the ground because of his weakness after the Final Selection. Nezuko ran to Tanjiro and wrapped him in a hug.
After that, Tanjiro starts to cry. "Why'd you fall asleep like that! Never waking up once! We were worried you were gonna die or something, you know??" he said through his tears.
You joined the hug not wanting to be standing there awkwardly, and you missed Nezuko. You look to the side and saw that Urokodaki just left his hut and was holding a bunch of firewood. Upon seeing you and the Kamado sibling hugging he decided to walk towards the group hug and joined it.
"You both came back alive..." Urokodaki said. You looked at his face and saw some tears dripping from his mask which made you kinda upset, considering what happened to his past students. So, you put one of your arms around Urokodaki in an attempt to comfort him. You thought about if that would have happened to you and a couple of tears fell down your face, happy you survived the final selection and didn't die.
Everyone came inside the house and Urokodaki put on a fire. Tanjiro sat in front of Urokodaki while you sat to the side playing with your sleeve.
"So you killed the mutated demon, I see," Urokodaki stated.
"Yes," Tanjiro replied.
"At last... I'm truly impressed both of you made it back." Urokodaki said
"Thanks," You and Tanjiro said in unison.
"There are several types of demons. The demons who use "Blood Demon Art" is a special spell that possesses supernatural abilities. You may have to fight those demons, as well from now on. And battling against them will be far more difficult than any other low-class demon. Even so, Tanjiro, (Y/N), I'm sure both of you will be fine." Urokodaki explained.
"Right. So, it seems like Nezuko is different from other demons. Do you think it's because of the demon art?"
"No, I think it's something else. I wouldn't call that an example of the blood demon art. This is only a guess, but I believe Nezuko can recover her strength by sleeping instead of consuming human flesh as other demons do."
Tanjiro went to Nezuko's room and fell asleep there. You went and joined them after, bringing your bag into the room as well.
~ Time Skip ~
And so, just in a blink of an eye came the day of the sword's arrival. You and Tanjiro left the hut and went to explore the sounds of the distant bells.
"Who do you think that is?" Tanjiro asked.
I shrugged.
The figure with the chimes came closer until he was in front of both of us.
"My name is Haganezuka. I forged Tanjiro Kamado's and (Y/N) (L/N)'s swords and I am here to deliver them." He said
"Oh! Sorry. I am Tanjiro Kamado and this is (Y/N). Please come in." Tanjiro said
You waved him a hi, but you weren't even sure if he was able to see it because of his large hat and attire.
"This is a Nichirin Sword. I forged it myself."
