"It sure has, Sabito." you smiled.
The look on his face was inspiring, he saw how well you fought...
"I did good, didn't I?" you chuckled softly, gazing at the stars, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
If it was anyone else, they'd believe you to be "that" girl. But, Sabito is clearly not one for buttering a person up.
"...I got second hand embarrassment at your pathetic display. I mean, seriously? Even the demon was ashamed. Imagine not being able to climb a tree. Pfft-" he laughed, patting your back
"Hey. It's not my fault. No one ever taught me how to." you grimaced, brushing his hand away.
"Yeah yeah, enough excuses, just learn. Nonetheless, you did good. You've grown, even if it's just a bit. That little bit is important rather than nothing at all."
He gave you a sincere smile.
"Who knew saying Kibutsuji as a demon could get you killed in such a brutal way... I know they're murderers, but I can't help but feel bad and humanize with them, you know?"
"I get what you mean, but don't let that feeling control you. This world is now a kill or be killed one, so don't hesitate to kill them." he sighed
"True."
You sighed, feeling comfort that Sabito is always here, you just wished you'd get more opportunities to talk with him.
"You know, Sabito... Do you have food or dish you like? We never have small talk-"
Footsteps shuffled and ran up the stairs from inside, cutting your conversation short again.
"Guess out conversation's getting cut short again..."
"Don't you worry now. I'm always here. Whenever you need me. To talk, discuss, plan. Anything at all. "
With that, he disappeared into thin air once again.
'Surely, one day we'll get a chance to talk-talk.'
"SOUTH EAST!! GO SOUTH EAST NOWWWW" Tanjiro's crow squawked loudly the moment the two Kamados left the house.
"Oh, Tanjiro! Hey!"
"Y/N! We have another mission together!" he smiled running, more like limp-hopping, up to you.
"Slow down!" she walked over to him, grinning
"Are we leaving right away?"
"CAW CAW! LEAVE NOW!" his crow screeched
"That's my answer, I suppose."
"Caw! Caw caw! Y/N!" You hear your own crow gliding down, gracefully landing on your shoulder
"If you weren't made aware, you have a mission in the southeast direction. We will lead you both there."
Both of you gathered your things. You grabbed your only belonging, your crossbody bag that can turn into a backpack as well. Tanjiro grabs his Nezuko box, making you two ready to leave.
About 20 minutes of walking later, you come across a... scene.
In the middle of a public road, there is a guy and girl.
The guy had bright yellow hair with orange tips, who was currently bawling his eyes out at the girl's feet. The girl was pretty and had black hair but was visibly uncomfortable.
