During breakfast, Blaise showed Draco and I the article that Sirius had shown me. I was upset and I started to get hate mail, as well as Hermione, and Draco had difficulty comforting me. I refused any affection he tried to give me. Finally, it was time to test him.

"Draco, do you really think I'm a Veela?" I asked.

He tugged on my hair, "No. Your hair is too dark. Maybe that reporter saw your teeth? Or tongue? You do flick it out. Veela are just known to look a little inhuman."

"What about that 'Hufflepuff' section?" I asked and looked at him from the side of my eyes.

"It can't be true. Cho was his Second Task," he blurted out.

"I never said it was Cedric," I hissed and flicked my tongue.

Everyone was quiet and I lost my temper. My hair tie snapped and my hair flew freely around me. Blaise was trying to snap me out of it and reached across the table to hold my face. My nails clawed into the top of the table and I grinded my teeth.

"Ivy! Ivy! Let's just leave!" he pleaded.

A large hand covered my eyes and pulled me back into them standing behind my seat. The scent was familiar and I was caught off guard. Who would be so fearless? A hoarse whisper was in my ear.

          "Not now. Come," Viktor whispered.

He removed his hand and my hair fell. I was panting and I realized everyone was looking at me, except for Draco. Standing up, Viktor offered his arm for me to take and I did. He led me to the shore of the Black Lake where I sat to catch my breath. He sat beside me.

"Forgive me. I lost my temper," I said sheepishly.

"About the article I assume?" he asked.

I nodded, "Does it not concern you?"

"No. As someone who is regularly covered from my position on the Bulgarian team, you learn to ignore it. Only true friends support and know you. Young Malfoy was your childhood friend?" he asked.

"Yes. I was raised with him. That's why I am angry. He is ruining my relationships with my friends," I said sadly.

"Perhaps he needs to see you as you are without him," he suggested.

          "Without him?" I asked.

"I saw your growth when you were independent. I did not expect you to rescue him in the Lake. You hesitated," he said and stared at me.

I bit my lip, "You have been watching."

"You need no man," he said.

"What of you? Why Hermione?" I asked.

He chuckled, "She did not chase. I had to seek her. Something that I enjoyed."

I tilted my head to him, "You're lying. Though you like her, it isn't just her."

He took my hand as he stood up, "You have been watching."

I flicked my tongue at him, "I don't care who you are. Don't hurt her."

"An attractive trait. Dasvidaniya," he said and kissed my hand.

I huffed and started to skip rocks on the Lake as he left. It was a sunny day and it was Easter holiday. Looking around, no one was here so I summoned my swimsuit from the common room. I chuckled thinking how people would react to it flying around. When it came to me, I changed into it in the forest and left my bundle of clothes in a hole in a tree trunk. I kept my wand in my garter belt and strapped it tightly on my thigh. Wading out in the water, I sat in the waves and the water lapped over my knees and waist.
