when hailey began showing up to school again, jasmine almost couldn't believe it. she'd been avoiding school for two weeks, and was back all of a sudden, expecting everything to be cool?

well, considering jasmine's tendency to attach herself to people, everything kinda was cool, a little bit.

"i don't expect you guys to forgive me for disappearing on you all, but there was a lot of family stuff going on that i can't get into. i've been dealing with it, and it's not something that i'm allowed to talk about because it's personal, but i hope you all can find it in yourselves to forgive me. i'm really, really sorry for ghosting you guys," the forrest girl says, expression genuine as she looked over the other occupants of the table.

the group looked at each other, and while jessica seemed to be the most skeptical of forgiving her, she didn't hold that much of a grudge. instead of saying something mean, the short brunette reached over and hugged hailey, earning a grin from the quilete girl.

"just never do that again, okay? you freaked us all out. scared the shit out of us, too," she scolds, and the others all laugh at the release in tension, making hailey laugh too. the conversation soon shifts to bella swan, who hadn't shown up to school that day, and jess rolled her eyes as soon as the girl was brought up.

"ugh, you guys won't believe the crap she pulled last night."

"didn't you guys go to a movie last night? what did she do?" angela questions, the most up to date with jessica's bella rants, and the girl nods before facing the rest of the group.

"so, she asked if i wanted to go see a zombie movie, which, might i say, sucked complete ass. jasmine, you should've come, you left me alone with her and a shitty movie. anyways, after the movie, we were walking away from the theater, and these biker guys were catcalling us, as assholes do. so, we're about to leave, but bella gets this bright idea to walk over, and-"

"she walked over to the dangerous biker guys? what the hell..." eric mutters, and jessica nods at him frantically before continuing.

"i know, right?! anyways, she walks over and actually gets on one of the guys' bikes, and then he rides off! she didn't even say anything, just that she thought she knew them, and a couple minutes later she's walking back up to me as if she didn't have a fucking death wish! god, it was so irresponsible! she almost gave me a heart attack, i swear to god!"

jasmine pats the short girl on the back, hailey hugging her side in comfort, and eric pushes her food in front of his friend as a way to try and calm her down.

"you're right, that was completely irresponsible of her. she could've been killed, hell, she could've gotten you hurt too. but you're a good friend for waiting for her, even though she decided to do something so stupidly reckless," the graves girl says softly, kissing the top of jessica's head and making the group of friends smile.

"yeah, totally, jess. you're an awesome friend for even going to a movie with her despite her ghosting us for four months," mike chimes in, smiling stupidly and making hailey roll her eyes at him. he'd broken up with the short girl not even a week ago, and was already acting as if nothing had happened?

'he's such a prick,' she thinks, but decides to ultimately ignore the newton boy in favor of making jess eat.

once school had ended, hailey and jasmine said goodbye to their friends, and began walking off to their individual vehicles. seeing as they were alone from everybody, jasmine finally decided to ask the other girl something she'd been wondering all day.

"okay, why're you wearing such light clothes? it's still pretty cold, and you should be wearing a sweater at least, but you're just wearing a tank top and skinny jeans. the hell is up with that?"
