~Later that Day~Hunter~
I went into the kitchen to talk to Storm, and I find her at the table talking to Merc and someone else I don't know. I finally thought about what she said, and I made my decision even though my group isn't going to like it. I'm likely going to be moved into Storm's group anyway so she can watch me closely. I hope word doesn't get out too fast since things spread fast around here.
"Storm," I say, and she turns her head.
"I gotta go," Storm says to Merc, and she quickly comes over to me. We went into the medical room, but we stop close to the door. "Have ya thought 'bout it?"
"I have and I'm willing to do it."
"I really am surprised you would..." Storm says in a somewhat low voice.
"If it means winning this war and helping one of our own," I say.
"I'm not really sure how it will help one of our own, but I'm proud of you for thinking of someone else you don't even know," Storm says.
"I care about everyone in the Unit whether I know them or not, but what is his name?"
"Nomad. He is a really sweet boy and he's fun to be around," Storm says with a grin.
"And I'll be with him more after this fusion?" I ask.
"I was going to have you join my group after the fusion is over. You'll be a lot stronger than before and I need at least one strong guy in my group," Storm answers. I knew it.
"All right. Probably won't matter to Blake because he's still mad at me."
"I'm really sorry," Storm says in a low tone.
"Don't be, Storm. It's really not your fault. We just need to do something."
"You're right. We're scrambling too much, and at this point, I can't really accept any more recruits," Storm says as she shakes her head slightly.
"It's only bound to get worse."
"It's already have been getting worse, and it'll just keep getting worse until the war is over. We're getting close... I can feel it."
"We should get started then," I say.
"Come on," Storm says, and I follow her to the other end of the room, but honestly, I'm slightly nervous about what I'll find since I know what kind of monster my clone is.
Storm moves the curtains to reveal my clone, and he was just sitting there. My stomach wrenched just by looking at him, and will soon know all the things he's done.
"He's accepted, but do you accept? You're not going to have as much freedom if this actually works. You're going to have to listen to everything we say, and if you use him for evil, I will find a way to kill you. Do you understand?" Storm says to my clone in a serious tone.
"I understand... and I accept..." my clone says.
"All right, let's see if this will actually work," Storm says, and she starts walking away. I follow her to the labs with my clone following behind us.
"Are you having doubts that this will work?" I ask Storm.
"This isn't the first fusion we've tempted. We tried doing a fusion with the Alexanders before we just had the Buta Alexander become king, but it failed. We've spent a while trying to think of a reason why it didn't work, but we finally concluded that since Alexander is an Archangel, there would've been no way to fuse a demon and an angel," Storm explains.
"I don't see the reason why it wouldn't work now since I'm not an angel. I'm sure it will work because, in the world of the Fighters, anything can happen," I say.
