~The Next Day~
I walk into the training room just because, and I went into one of the other rooms. I walk into the smaller training room where Nomad was continuing his training with Adam, and I lean on the door frame, watching them as they train. I watch them train for a while until I heard some sort of alarm. I watch Adam go to his phone and check it. He told Nomad to keep practicing, and that he will see him in the next training session.
"Hey, Hunter," Adam says as he walks by me.
"Hey," I say, then I went over to the mat where Nomad was practicing some moves, and I notice he was struggling a little.
"This is not as easy as I thought it would be," I hear him say to himself. I don't think he realizes I'm here.
I grab a staff from one of the racks, and I twirl it around in several different ways until I actually get his attention. I did a couple of moves just to be sure I still got it.
"You're pretty good," Nomad says.
"One of the first things I've learned how to use and the one thing I mainly use," I say.
"You use the staff to fight?"
"Yup. Easy to use."
"But you can't really kill any Hells with it..." Nomad says as he comes closer to me.
"Right, but I also carry smaller weapons that I can easily hide on me to kill them," I say as I pull out one of my knives from one of my hiding spots.
"That is clever."
"That's why you should always hide a knife or other small weapons on you. You can't always depend on your primary weapon all the time."
"Well, I can't necessarily take off my primary weapon or I turn into some Pokèmon and I'm not joking," Nomad says.
"So that necklace of yours is your weapon?" I ask as I grab the blue orb of his necklace and look at it.
"Yeah, it allows me to create spears and be able to breathe underwater," Nomad answers as he suddenly holds a spear in his hand.
"I've always kind of wondered how you can make spears like that, but now I know," I say as I let go of the orb. It is an interesting-looking necklace with the way it shines in the light and the beautiful blue crystals that are inside.
"It's pretty cool, but the only downside is that I can't take it off like ever," Nomad says as he makes his spear disappear.
"I mean, why would you?" I say with a chuckle.
"That's true," Nomad says with a chuckle also.
"I'm sure you two aren't supposed to be socializing," I hear Storm say, and I turn around to find her coming over to us.
"I've already been training for an hour, Storm," Nomad whines.
"Where's Adam?" Storm asks as she comes onto the mat.
"He had some stuff to do in the lab so he had to cut the training session short, but I still need to practice on a couple of things," Nomad answers.
"How come you're in here? You don't need the training," Storm teases me.
"I guess you can say that I'm randomly here," I say.
"He was giving me some advice," Nomad says.
"Of course, he was," Storm says as she gives us a grin. "Well, keep up the good work and I'll see you two later. I have to go do a job."
"All right, Storm," I say as she starts walking off the mat.
"See ya, Storm," Nomad says and she leaves. "What was even the point of her coming in here?"
