~Later that Day~
I went back into the bedroom after I wandered around the Manor, and it's really a nice place, like super nice! However, the bedroom was empty and I didn't really see anyone around. I did notice something sitting on Hunter's bed though, which was making me curious.
I went over to Hunter's bed and picked up what was laying on it. It was that jacket that I've seen his clone wear, but it was neatly folded in a certain way. I touch the emblem on it, feeling the cold metal and parts of its design. The symbol was like a gold color surrounded by a dark red color just like the other parts of the jacket. Is it a maroon color or burgundy?
"How long have you been staring at that?" I hear Hunter say behind me, which startled me.
"Not long," I say as I look at the jacket. "Why do you have it out?"
"I don't know... Honestly, it's hard to look at since all it does is remind me of all the things my clone has done," Hunter answers as he stands beside me.
"I notice that yours looks a bit different from some of the other guys. One guy has red seams, but yours, the colors aren't on the seams and it's a darker red," I say.
"Yeah, Shane's is red. Mine is crimson."
"Crimson, huh?"
"Yup."
"That's good to know since I was having a hard time deciding what color it was," I say as I place the jacket back on his bed, and I hear him chuckle a little, then there was silence between us for a bit.
"Are you doing okay?" Hunter asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just needed to get a lot off my mind, ya know," I say as I look over at him.
"Storm was getting worried about you," Hunter says, but I kind of had to ponder at that. Unless Storm can really hide her worry, she seemed fine when I was talking to her. Maybe they were talking after I took off.
"Didn't seem like it to me when I was talking to her," I say.
"Believe me, she was. I can tell when she's really worried," Hunter says as he puts his hand on my shoulder. That just seems to be his thing, but I find his touch to be comforting.
"Anyway, I'm kind of bored. Got any ideas of what we can do?" I ask.
"There's plenty of things to do here mostly in the living room," Hunter says as he goes closer to the door.
We go down to the living room to find it empty and quiet. We sit on the couch and Hunter pulls out a deck of cards from the drawer of the coffee table.
"Want to play cards?" Hunter asks as he shuffles the cards.
"Sure. Know any card games?" I ask.
"I know a lot."
"I don't know any..."
"I know a simple game we can play. It's called war," Hunter says as he gives us each a card.
"How do you win?" I ask.
"Once you get all the cards in the deck, you win," he answers as he was still giving out cards.
"That sounds like it can take a while."
"Shortest game here was five minutes."
"Seriously?" I say with amazement.
"Yup. Storm won. If I were you, I wouldn't play war with her because she wins each time," Hunter says as he gave me the last card.
"She must be pretty good."
"She only lost once and that's when she first played. Ever since then, she never lost a game."
