Morning soon stretched over the azure sky. It was unusually cold. However, to us cultivators, it really could pose little harm.
After absorbing spiritual energy all night from cultivation, I was more than invigorated with strength. In truth, I'd actually not eaten for a full day now, yet I wasn't bothered.
As my eyes shot open in unison, I was just in time to see Xueyi waking up with a big stretch while sitting up and a wide yawn. Embarrassed that I'd seen her yawning without guard, she quickly positioned for meditation and closed her eyes shot.
I wasn't bothered by the anomaly in her mannerism, as I'd started getting used to her way of doing things. The sleep really worked out for her.
As though on queue, Jessica stretched on her bed just after Xueyi balanced for a quick morning cultivation. She flicked her wrist and placed a pair of spectacles on her nose before yawning in a brazen manner.
“Good morning, roommate,” she said, after balancing her view to the surrounding.
“Hey!” I said with a warm smile, from my bed.
Jessica stared at me for a moment before saying, “You cultivated all night?”
  “Yeah.”
She chuckled before pointing at the meditating Xueyi. “And I thought she was more nerd than you.”
I snickered. “Not like I'm the one who's a cultivator yet uses glasses.”
She chuckled, placed both hands on her cheeks, before saying, “I refuse to give a defense.”
I smiled wryly, “I definitely know that look. You're doing it for a boy, huhn?”
Jessica's gaze quickly snapped as she swooshed upon my bed with her head placed upon the edge of her palms. She sat cross-legged.
  “Am I really that readable?”
I chuckled, thinking back to my former classmates. Looking back at my life before coming into this dimension, I couldn't help but shake my head. I'd truly changed a lot. I didn't stalk fine boys anymore, neither did I easily get into tongue fights like I remembered myself to always do.
‘Could it be the Arerat Planet had a power to change one's personality?’
I immediately trashed the idea off my mind immediately I remembered how I'd dumbstruck the three princesses back then in the Beast Hall. Haha, maybe having weird classmates and acquaintances is what actually changed me... or suppressed my madness.
“Snap out, yo! You don't even seem to be thinking of a lover. More like thinking of an evil deed. I've seen that smile across your face before, right before you'd smashed into a Blazing Overlord Lion.” Jessica stared into my face smugly.
“You don't say,” I chuckled, “maybe I'm not the only one who observes others then.”
Jessica chuckled. She wanted to say something before pausing halfway and trying to organise her thoughts. She had a shy look and I could tell it was the reference I'd given her earlier that made her fly over to my bed.
Trying to change the topic before she'd speak, I quickly asked, “How was yesterday for you?”
Immediately the words left my lips, Jessica's eyes turned cold. In sync with this, Xueyi's eyes shot open with blazing lethality. Her cold aura uncontrollably burst out.
“That bastard!” Xueyi screamed as she looked towards the distance with clenched fists. Her bloodline aura couldn't help but slip out from her body.
Jessica's prior ecstacy had been drained out of her. She made her way to the bathroom and washed herself up quickly. When she stepped out, Xueyi immediately swooped in. The time the latter came out, Jessica was already fully dressed. She turned to me and said, “I'll be going ahead of you both today. I need to stretch my limbs. See you tonight.”
I wasn't even let the chance of muttering “goodbye”, for she'd already dashed out of the dorm, headed for JAG Special.
Xueyi, of course, was not as graceful as Jessica to give a reason for abruptly leaving. I came out of the bathroom to meet an empty room.
Looking into my storage room, I couldn't help but sigh at the fact that I needed some more clothes.
“I'm a girl, for crying out loud!”
Oh well, in no time, I was dressed up in my uniform as my comrades had done. I ran along as they'd done. After all, I had enough energy stored in me from all the all-night cultivation.
I didn't bother packing up my hair today. I just let it freefall across my shoulders. Hence, when I swooshed out of the dormitory, I couldn't help but get hair in my eyes.
  “Ouch!”
  “Be careful.”
Raising my head up, I saw Receptionist A. Startled, I nodded quickly. My mind quickly went back to the aura I'd felt the previous day. It resonated with what I was feeling right now.
“Thank you for yesterday," I told her.
She seemed to have been unprepared for this, and had her cold aura shaken slightly.
“It's my duty. Go on now. You'll be late.”
I nodded, unhesitatingly, and dashed away, not giving note to the first sentence she'd said, “It's my duty.”
She sighed as she watched me running off into the distance till all she could see was a silhouette, before becoming a black dot, and finally disappearing.
“Aren't these kids too young to be undergoing such pressure for the Old Divine Sages?”

“You must all know about the entrance examination of the Intermediate Academy of the Gifted, right?” Teacher Haggz asked, as we all silently assembled into two roles, just the way he preferred it.
We were all unusually quiet and cold today. If an outsider had seen such a sight, they'd have been awed at how our auras were in line with Teacher Haggz's.
The person in question wasn't even bothered by the way we were acting.
In response to the question, Zhangkong and I who were at the forefront of our queues nodded.
I clearly remembered when the Old Academy Autarch had made mention to this in his opening speech, back then.
“Good. Just like the Junior Academy of the Gifted, the Intermediate Academy of the Gifted opens its gates for fresh blood every decade. However, the latter is, on the other hand, not opening this year, but next year. This will give way to an intra-school competition. The best class and students would be opportune to take the IAG's examination. You all must prepare for that examination and win it. With your current training sessions, you'll definitely do well. None of you are allowed to fail. I must flaunt you all before my enemies that it's possible to train people who live under the ‘Strength and Pride’ motto. This said, go into your respective training grounds.”
I couldn't help but feel an instant headache. This Teacher didn't even give room for negotiations! Looking at the door wasn't any encouragement. I sighed, thinking about how I'd opened my eyes to pick this door.
