Chapter 92: Jaded vs. Xueyi

  Jaded was standing at one end of the field and Xueyi, the other.

  One after the other, my classmates began to climb onto tree branches so that they could enjoy a better aerial view.

  Teacher Haggz said, "Fight till the other person is incapable of defence, then stop! Do not be arrogant! If you're beaten pulp, do not remain silent, but surrender!"

  The both of them nodded. Although Teacher Haggz seemed to be addressing them, he was in fact talking to all of us.

  "Excuse me, Teacher!" I called, just before he was about to start the march. He looked at me with furrowed brows telling to go on. I quickly whispered something into his ears. He looked at me momentarily, before nodding his consent. I thanked him, then walked back to Jessica's side.

  Jessica wasn't curious to know what I'd said to Teacher Haggz. She only said, "Let's also find a tree to watch."

  Without replying, I smiled then flicked my wrist. A large big bird appeared before us. Jessica covered her mouth in amazement. It was none other than Roy. I hopped on it, and she followed thus.

  Roy flapped its large wings, and we were hovering high up in the sky. The others felt really envious, and they threw some jokes at one another.

  "Hai. Not fair at all."

  "I knew it I should have been a beast tamer. Now she's got to watch everything executively, while we cling onto these branches with all our lives."

  "Fool, can you even kill a rabbit. How much more a colossal bird as that green fandango over there!"

  "Hey!"

  "Shush, it's about to start."

  From both ends of the field, Jaded and Xueyi had locked gazes.

  Xueyi swayed her right hand and a dark force began to swirl around it. I immediately recognised it as poison. However, it was the one that came from her Innate Poison bloodline.

  "Get ready. I won't be going easy on you!" said Xueyi. She'd already reverted to her normal, expressionless self.

  Jaded nodded and pulled off his shirt. Us, girls, watched in seized breaths. For a teenager barely 19, his body feature was impressive. From behind me, I could hear Jessica: "One, two, three, four, five, six! OMG! He's got six packs!"

  I rolled my eyes with a wry smile on.

  Immediately, Xueyi made her move to start the battle. She dashed forward with her cultivation speed.

  Just as we observed from above, Jaded spread his arms and a pair of black wings emerged from his back. The pair were about one metre each longer than his arms. A terrifying dragon aura also burst out from his body.

  The expression on every single one of our faces changed. Everyone grew pale. Didn't Jaded say his ability was the Demon Suppressing Aura? When did he have wings too?

  Xianxian was also surprised. Xianxian's own Gift was the Dragon Wings. It really seems everyone had their own secrets.

  Teacher Haggz seemed to be in deep thoughts.

  Despite seeing this, Xueyi was unfazed. She kept charging at him. Jaded, on the other hand, wasn't still. He flapped his wings into the air, and gave a loud roar that shook Xueyi's spirit. She'd momentarily lost her sense of direction and seemed to have staggered, reducing her running speed.

  Jaded soared straight at her. He got to her in no time, flicked his wrist and brought out a bottle with a skull and crossed bones insignia wrapped around it. He shook it and poured it towards her direction, speaking for the first time: "Be careful!"

  At this point, Xueyi had already used her true essence to nourish her mind to peak. Just then, she heard Jaded's words. She quickly showed a shocking discretion. Instead of running forward or something, she shot backwards at lightening speed, just in time to see the green gas falling down. She gritted her teeth in anger. She'd been deceived.

  Her bloodline made her poison resistant, and thus, her heart quickly feared. Jaded knew poison was incapable of hurting her, so...

  Her innate senses began to tinge from the position of her back. Her eyes immediately constricted. Jaded was shooting a sneak attack!

  Like before, she didn't waste time to turn around. Trusting in her instincts, she dashed forward. It was too bad Jaded had seen that coming. Because she was backing him, Xueyi did not see the long spear in his right hand. He'd long returned the poison bottle he'd brought out before.

  The spear pierced her right arm and pinned her to the ground, causing her to groan in pain.

  Jaded had made this move because he knew no one could die in an actual sense in the Ethereal Hall. However, seeing Xueyi actually groaning in real pain, his spirit was shaken. He quickly landed on the ground,, gracefully, and his wings were retracted into his body as though they'd never appeared. He walked to her hurriedly, and squatted by the spear piercing her arm.
