Xuan'er wasn't willing to fall yet. After crashing on the ground, she sprouted up almost immediately and flicked her wrist. Her storage ring flickered a little, and two metal boomerangs materialised in her hands. They looked very sharp.

Meanwhile, Jessica was currently filled with rushing emotions. It was so much that they felt to me almost rigid. There was a strange green light flashing in her eyes.

The reason Jessica was laughing before should be because the fight was going according to plan. The reason, however, that the all-rigid and emotionless Teacher Haggz and myself were laughing was because there wasn't any hope for Xuan'er, even if the latter hadn't realised it yet. She was really going to be beaten up.

"What in the world..." I heard Ruby say, beside me.

After Jessica's cry, a large plant of about ten feet rose into the air. It had funny-looking petals, and a vertical towering stem that looked like the legs of a ballerina, upside down. The smell was enough to kill anyone without throwing a punch.

It was a good thing Xueyi had already recovered from the hole in her arm, all thanks to Lingxi. She had currently gathered everyone to the ground and made a sort of poison repellent with her own innate poison. I tried moving into the sky, but had almost forgotten my first experience with that here. Roy was pulled to the ground with a terrifying gravity pull. The Ethereal Hall forbade flying, I guess.

Stowing Roy away, I joined my other classmates who were gathered together on the floor, leaving their trees to be under Xueyi's force field.

Ruby had long teleported there before I could even attempt taking Roy into the sky. Nobody dropped any nasty remark. They all watched the fighting field in seized breaths.

Let's reverse back to the parts I didn't mention during the time I was trying to avoid the pungent smell.

Earlier when Xuan'er brought out her boomerangs, she had turned to look at the plant. She'd looked down on her boomerangs as though contemplating whether to use them or not, when, suddenly, an enchanted vine rooted her legs to the ground. Her face was white, and I couldn't tell if it was in horror, or it was just the way her face looked when she'd sniffed in poop. Nevertheless, she made her move.

'Whoosh! Whoosh!' The blades left her hands and rotated in the air continuously as they advanced towards the giant plant.

'Slash! Slash!' It had struck the plant and was now rotating back to meet Xuan'er.

"I'm amazed!" Jessica had shouted. "You're able to put a pair of gashes on the enchanted corpse flower."

This was the part when I fell down and started straightening my uniform.

"There's more from where that came from!" screamed Xuan'er as she severed the vines holding her, rather quicker than one would have expected. She dashed into the air and nose-dived towards Jessica's direction.

Jessica was grinning like all this was child's play. She spread her hands higher and closed her eyes.

At this moment, I'd just entered Xueyi's shield.

All the fowl air surrounding us began to leave us and channel off towards Xuan'er. The latter who was about to reach Jessica had already quickly played a feint, taking Jessica unawares by shackling her to the ground with ice chains.

But the smell was faster.

The green waft of foul air enveloped Xuan'er, and before she could even reach the ground, several vines from nearby trees had already lent Jessica a hand, tying Xuan'er and leaving her looking like the centre of the forest.

Xuan'er's eyes were watering.

Jessica was jumping around like a cute 5-year old. It's funny how I barely made mention how pretty she was. In fact, she was even much prettier than everyone of my other classmates. The first time I met her, she gave off the Cinderella sort of feeling on me.

"It worked! It worked! Dad would be so proud! It really worked!" she was screaming. Then she flicked her hand and a wand appeared in her hand. It was obvious she was about to cast a Thaumaturgy spell. She waved the wand about and spoke an odd rhyme:

"Listen now and be enlightened, this mistress to whom you bow is the Forest's Drighten!"

"Snap out of it!" Teacher Haggz sudden roared.

Suddenly, I noticed the green flash that's been in Jessica's eyes suddenly disappear. She staggered a bit, but was quickly caught by Ruby who was there in a jiffy.

"Sorry, Teacher, I... I almost forgot this isn't a real place," she helped herself up and placed a hand to her head. Immediately, the large corpse flower returned back to the forest, and the other vines unwrapped themselves from Xuan'er who had already fainted either out of shock, the smell, or suffocating from being tied - down to her face) by those nasty vines.

Teacher Haggz turned to her and said, as emotionless as always, "Congratulations on your bloodline breakthrough."

Jessica was taken aback and her brows furrowed in what was unmistakably suspicion. She nodded once, curtly. Teacher Haggz didn't spare her a second glance before bending low over Xuan'er. Lingxi was already there checking her pulse.

"She's okay," she told us. Teacher Haggz touched her skin and immediately Xuan'er woke up with a big struggle for air the way someone who almost drowned under water does when over out in the surface. She looked around us in alarm, searching from face to face until she stopped before Jessica. "Impossible! The young princess of the Green Life Clan!"
