Author's POV....
When Arnav accused Maya for lying, Maya lost it. It got her reached her patience level and she blurted out, "Because the truth will bring no good for us now, Arnav."
Being all confused and at the same time worried, he spoke up, "What are you talking about? What's the problem actually? Just tell me, Khushi. I promise I will sort out everything. Just keep faith.."
He didn't get to complete as Maya blurted out again, "For goodness sake, stop calling me by that name, Khushi. Coz I am not her. And stop pretending like you know everything about me and my life when you don't even have the slightest idea of it. All time just Khushi, Khushi, Khushi.. Just stop it. It's getting too much now."
Arnav got silent hearing her for a moment. He suppressed his anger and frustration and held the steering wheel in a tight grip.
Maya breathed heavily after completing her say. When she realized her outburst, she turned to Arnav.
Seeing him like that, she felt guilty. It wasn't his fault but her face. It was letting him make the mistake again and again.
But he should also take some blame.
Can't there be resemblance between faces!
They kept silent for few minutes. The rain was still falling continuously which made Arnav felt irritated.
She looked at Maya for once before getting out of the car.
When Maya seemed like uttering something to stop him, Arnav spoke up all sternly, "Stop pretending like you care. I don't need it."
Well, that was harsh!
I wasn't pretending anything.Maya thought in mind and was about to say something but didn't get the chance.
Arnav got out of the car to check the engine, slumming the door shut with a thud. Maya flinched in fear.
She didn't face Arnav's anger before. While holding the anger within, Arnav opened the upper part of the car to check the engine.
Maya's words were buzzing in his mind making it difficult for him to focus on the engine.
He wasn't expert in that also but all he wanted to get away from Khushi for now as he knew he would have screamed at her any moment if he stayed with her. He didn't want that to happen.
Giving his thought a break, he tried to focus on the engine. But didn't understand what's the problem actually. While checking something there, he got a little cut in his hand and blood started oozing out.
Arnav got his hand near to check if the cut was deep. Rain was doing its work as well. Getting Arnav all soaked and blood washing away.
Without bothering the cut, he again focused on the engine.
But couldn't get the problem solved. Closing it, he again got into the car to call Zayan to send another car there but his phone bade him bye after just one ring.
Can the situation be more frustrating!
Arnav pounced the steering wheel, "Damn."Maya could feel what was happening but didn't dare to say anything.
She looked at Arnav who was all soaked. She searched for a towel and when she found that, she forwarded that to Arnav, "Dry yourself at first."
Without looking at her, Arnav took the towel. When he kept drying himself, something caught Maya's attention. The part where Arnav was holding, white towel turning into red colour.
She called Arnav for few times but he pretended not to hear and continued his work of drying himself.
Being confused and irritated, she reached her hand to see it for herself and held Arnav's hand.
