“It’s beautiful, Nayeem.” while wandering her eyes all around the room Maya said and turned to Nayeem smilingly but seeing him on one knee, she got shocked.

“Let’s get married now.” hearing this, the smile disappeared from Maya’s face in no moment.

Nayeem kept waiting for her to respond but when nothing like his anticipations seemed to be coming, he spoke up, “It’s been two years, Maya. Still, are you going to say you need time?”

Sorry but yes. I am not sure yet.

Maya thought for a while before reaching this conclusion and replying, “I am sorry, Nayeem but not now. I want Vai standing right beside me when I get married.”

No.. before Zareef wakes up, I have to think of another way.

Maya extended her hand smilingly. Nayeem thought she was hinting to get the ring put on her finger.

I have made some progress at least.

Thinking like this when he was about to do that smilingly, Maya turned her hand flat, indicating him to hold it just to stand up. His smile almost disappeared but he forced to make it come back thinking

I can't force her. I can't lose her again.

“I hope you will understand me.” Maya gave Nayeem a hopeful look.

“Sure. I will wait, love.”

The word love from him never gave her a good vibe but she didn't try to think deep knowing it will lead to only a headache if nothing much.

Walking up to the table, Nayeem pulled a chair out for Maya and turned to her who was standing still in her place, “Let’s take dinner now.”

Putting on a smile, she walked towards him and settled on the chair.

Nayeem also sat across her after calling the waiter to serve them. He was not sure but he felt someone was there.

Shrugging off, he tried to start a conversation with Maya only to get her silent as always.

The food was served after a few moments. They finished their dinner while Nayeem tried to get Maya opening up to him and Maya only talking whenever needed and for the rest nodding at him.

When will you be like before Maya! Nayeem heaved a sigh at last as they stood up to walk out of the room.

While talking about business stuff in which Maya joined him at last only to get him irritated.

Dropping her at her place as she walked towards the entrance, he kept looking at her like waiting for her to look back as Maya used to do before but for now, she didn't look back. Not even for once.

While thinking about what to do, he left and Maya stood at the doorway pressing the calling bell which got shocked Ema and Arnav as well who were sitting in the living room planning something.

“Must be Maya. Now?” Ema turned to Arnav.

Before Arnav could say something, the bell rang once, and a faint sound like, “Vabi?” came from behind the door.

Arnav stood up, “She shouldn't see me here now.” Ema agreed restlessly, “Yes. What to do now!"

Arnav thought for a moment and then spoke up, “You open the door. I will be in Vai’s room.”

Nodding at him, Ema walked towards the door to answer it.

Opening the door, she found Maya standing there with a somewhat fallen face.

She got concerned, “What happened, dear?”

Shrugging off, Maya forced a smile, “Nothing. What were you doing?”
