Come again. What did you say?” Arnav spoke up being unable to register it fully in his mind.

Maya stated in confirmation, "So, Khushi was not hemophobic then.”

Arnav turned to his hand and again to Maya remembering her expression. He kept his eyes glued on her eyes for few good seconds without blinking until Maya moved her gaze away.

Arnav looked outside through the glass, the rain was still falling heavily, the clothes of his were all wet, giving him a cold sensation but nothing was touching his mind.

The words of Maya kept buzzing in his mind like a busy bee.

"I am hemophobic."

His mind was almost convinced that she was not his Khushi but..

He again turned to her who was also looking outside of the car now.

Arnav leaned against his seat, closing his eyes.

Like Maya just remembered something, she turned to Arnav and looked at him from top to toe, “You should change. You will fall sick.”

Arnav didn’t open his eyes let alone answering her. Maya again spoke up, “Arnav?”

Arnav was still silent with his busy mind. Maya wandered her eyes outside to catch a place where they could take shelter at least.

Few buildings got into her sight. Because of rain, she couldn’t see it properly whether there was a hotel between them.

But giving it a thought, she called Arnav again. When he didn’t answer her, she shook him a little. He opened his eyes with a jerk, “Khushi?”

Maya moved her hand away and spoke up, “We should check in a hotel or something. You need to change or you will fall sick.”

Arnav shrugged off, “I am fine.”

“But I am not. So let's go, please.” Maya pleaded in concern.

Arnav again closed his eyes, “Do whatever you feel like but I am not going anywhere.”

Maya frowned hearing Arnav. Arnav already looked around when he was out. There was no hotel around but some residences only.

And there was no way, he was going to get shelter to someone's place again using the same excuse with some other girl.

His thought got interrupted when the sound of car door opening got into his hearing. He opened his eyes only to find Maya getting out of the car.

He snapped getting irritated, “Where are you going? Can’t you see the weather?”

Without bothering to answer him, Maya shut the door gently and walked towards the buildings.

“Your wish” Arnav closed his eyes again only to open them after few moments, “Ugh..”

He felt frustrated but he knew he shouldn’t let her roam around alone in this weather. And made his way out of the car and followed Maya.

Arnav spoke up after reaching Maya, “There is no hotel here but few residences only. Do you think we can get a shelter there? Never.”

Maya gave him a hopeful look, “You can’t say that without even trying, Arnav.”

Right then a lightning made the around lit up. Maya shivered and walked towards a building while bracing herself together. Without uttering anything, Arnav trailed behind her.

When they reached the door of a building, both of them were all drenched. Arnav knocked on the door and shouted, “Is anyone home?”

No one answered the door though they kept knocking and shouting for a while.
