A continuation of another Blush story!

Mush followed Blink across the street warily, smiling nervously as they reached the front yard. His landowner warned him about this house being the loudest on the block.

"Hey, Davey!" A taller, lankier guy looked up at them, staring at Mush in confusion. "Could you show him around? I gotta go get something."

"Sure", he smiles, standing up from his position near the water hose. "If I don't do it, no one else will. Mostly because they don't know how to turn it on."

Mush laughed and looked around. "Pretty nice party you have here."

"If I threw a party, the world would be at its end", Davey muttered, smiling when Mush laughed. He offered his hand. "I'm David."

"Uh, Nicholas", Mush says hesitantly. "Your friend there insists on calling me Mush, though."

Davey chuckles lightly, placing his hands in his back pockets. "Yeah, most of the boys are like that. It basically means they've adopted you into our crazy family."

"Our?" Davey nodded as Mush crossed his arms, a smug look on his face. "That's insinuating you've got a nickname, too."

Davey blushed at the mention, turning to Mush quickly. "We don't speak of that."

Mush giggled as he put his hands up in false surrender. He looked around, seeing kids, no older than fourteen, running around with small plastic water guns. "So who's party is this?"

"My boyfriend, Jack's", Davey admits, checking the time on his phone. "Who was supposed to be here with pizza half an hour ago."

"I'm here, Davey", Jack- assumably, Mush wouldn't know- walked up the drive way and kissed his boyfriend's cheek. "You gotta stop worrying so much."

"It's like you're summoned, or something", Davey comments, wrapping an arm around Jack's shoulders. "Mush, this is Jack. He's the father."

Mush got a good look at the guy. He was shorter than Davey but definitely taller than Mush, and his choice in clothing was a little outdated. He wore semi-baggy shorts and a large t-shirt, one that was probably soaked through before he left. His shoes were pretty roughed up, but in an aesthetically pleasing way, like beat up Converse.

Mush liked this guy. "I'm Mush. I like your style."

"Thanks!" Jack checked himself out, a wide smile on his face. "I don't get that too often."

"I tell you that every morning", Davey pulls away, looking at his boyfriend in confusion. Jack blushes.

"That's a chance to get me to blush. This was a compliment."

Davey smiled, kissing Jack's forehead. Mush stood there awkwardly, a little jealous but a little happy.

They were so sickeningly adorable, he couldn't even be mad.

Mush looked behind them to see Blink coming out of the door. He smiled at him as he approached, looking back at Jack. "I met Blinky earlier."

"Blinky?" Jack looked at one of his best friends, deadpan. "Did you tell him to call you Blinky?"

Blink shrugged and smiled smugly. "That's farther than your first date."

"Blink, I swear-"

Davey sighed and pulled Jack away, deciding not to let a fight ensue. He had full power and control to, but there was no point in ruining the last day of summer.
