Y/n's Pov- I woke up in JJ's arms. He spent the night at my house last night. I looked at the window that was next to my bed to see the sun light shining in. I checked the time. It's around nine o clock. I leaned up and kissed my boyfriends jaw to wake him up. He took his hand and covered my mouth so i couldn't kiss him.
"i love you baby but let me sleep" he said with a stupid smile on his face. i creeped out of bed to start on breakfast.
Today is JJ's 17th birthday so i started to make some pancakes. John B and I have been planning a surprise party. part of the surprise is to pretend we forgot. i've been planning this for weeks. every thing was finally looking up. JJs dad was gone, John B isn't wanted anymore, Kiara is finally free from her parents, Pope was able to get his scholarship back, and My brother was gonna be a dad.
I pulled the bacon out of the fridge while i heard JJ come down the stairs. My brother has a place with his girlfriend. My parents are staying at our lake house in Virginia. We had the house to ourselves. He looked absolutely perfect. His hair was all messy, eyes still a bit sleepy, no shirt, black sweatpants, fine ass abs and a v-line so sharp it could cut you. Wow.
"Hey J" i said as he came up and kissed behind my ear while i cooked some bacon. "morning bub" he said as he hugged me. "coffee" i asked and he nodded. i made us cups of coffee. He sat at the bar as i brought it to him. "So what are the plans for today" he asked as i put the bacon on a plate and moved to finish the pancakes. "I actually have plans with John B today so" i explained while pulling the chocolate chips out of the pantry. i heard him mutter an 'of course you do'. "what" i said while i walked into the kitchen. "Oh i uh i asked if i could join" he said while eying me up and down.
"Mmm i'm sorry not today baby" i responded. I poured the last of the batter onto the griddle and watched as the pancakes bubbled on the bottom. "Ok then why is that" he said in an annoyed tone. "Because jb and i have been planning this for weeks and- you just can't" i said putting all the pancakes on a plate. i grabbed 2 plates, 2 forks, and 2 cups. i got the orange juice out of the fridge and sat down next to him. he looked really upset. i leaned my head on his bare shoulder and he looked down at me and shook his head.
We ate in silence. it was almost awkward in a way. i hated that. it's never been awkward between us. ever. especially since today is his birthday. i could tell he thought i forgot and he was upset about it.
we finished eating and i cleared the dishes and headed up stairs to get ready. i got dressed in a cute and comfy fit.
