Differences

"It sounds like a difficult job, do tell"

I turned to Rin, who now has her eyes sparkling with curiosity. I blushed a little, acknowledging the interest that she had in the dumb topic which I had brought up. We are now at the Konoha BBQ, Rin had invited me out for a drink for no apparent reason, though it has been a while since we met. Just like every time we meet, I attempt to confess to her. The undying love for her which I have hidden in the depths of my heart. I have always been romantically interested in Rin, I believe it is because of her kindness and support towards me during childhood. Rin is now a top-grade medical ninja who is now training those under her to become the future medical ninjas of the hidden leaf village. After the war, all medical ninjas who had been assisting during the period of the war gains a special title for their contribution. 

"Obito?" she called out, snapping me back into reality.

"Right sorry...well, it's not difficult, though it is very dangerous" I started. Before I got the chance to continue, I felt a presence behind me. 

 "It's not hard at all, Rin, nor is it that dangerous." A familiar voice said, I turned to my left to see Kakashi. Rin and I turned to the side to see him, as he raised one hand and said 'yo'.

Kakashi? What is he doing here. 

"Yo..." I replied, slightly annoyed. "I'm glad you could come!" Rin said, her smile now seems more genuine around Kakashi's presence. "You...invited Kakashi too.." I said, awkwardly laughing. "Yes, Kakashi told me about his promotion so I figured we could all come here and celebrate!" Rin said excitedly, clasping her hands together. Ah, then again, I guess I misunderstood. "Promotion?...Congratulations," I said to Kakashi, smiling as I now understood the reason for us gathering together like this. Kakashi walked towards us to take his seat.

"I heard you got in trouble because of giving a prisoner some assistance," Kakashi said, as he pulled back the chair beside Rin and sat down. Rin's attention now turned to him. "Assistance?" Rin questioned, looking back at me. "Well, to be fair,  giving prisoners food is not called assisting, it is called being human," I said confidently as I ate my BBQ meat, though I did almost stab the meat with my chopsticks out of pure annoyance which I hid below the surface of my skin. Again, back to the conversation where I feed and help prisoners who are treated like literal dogs. Work or social life, my mistakes are always brought up. 

Rin slight nodded before continuing with grilling her meat. "Obito you are very kind...but it might pose a danger to yourself you know?" Rin said, her tone gentle. Kakashi's eyes shifted towards me, then back to his food. Rin's words left my sour mood changeable, I gave her a small smile before replying "I understand."

My mood is now calm, as a result of understanding Rin's concern. I looked over to Rin and noticed how pretty she looked today, she had her hair up and the medical shinobi badge showcased on her sleeve. Her eyes were focused on grilling her BBQ meat, she looked very focused. I looked at Kakashi only to notice him staring at me. "What?" I asked, touching my face. "Is there something on my face?"

Kakashi shook his head no, before turning his attention back to his food. 

"We seem to have grown up into pretty decent people..." Rin said, a small smile forming on her face as her finger traces the plate which is leftover from her previous meal. I looked at her and nodded, noticing that Kakashi was doing the same. "I'd say you and me turned out good...Obito however-

"What do you mean by that" I lightly raised myself to look at him, since he was on the other side. My face, at that particular moment, displayed my annoyance. "Obito...Kakashi is just teasing" Rin said as she tried to calm the situation down before any sort of fight occurs. "Obito, the higher-ups informed me that you have to give me information about the new prisoner's forbidden jutsu," Kakashi stated simply, ignoring my previous reaction. I shook my head and denied him the information. "It is information that isn't open to the public..." I said it almost proudly, knowing that this time Kakashi will not get what he wants.
