The sun shone brightly through my blinds, I rubbed my eyes and checked the time on my alarm clock. "7:41 am" I muttered. Probably time for breakfast, I grabbed my phone off my dresser and tiptoed downstairs.
Mum and Micheal were still asleep, Micheal probably has a hangover like usual. Mental note to avoid him.
I checked the app on my phone that keeps track of blood sugars and etc to see whether it was low or high, hopefully somewhere in between. It was 7.8 thankfully, I hated having to inject insulin. I grabbed an apple and scrolled through tiktok for a bit, "good morning" my mum said smiling. "How did you sleep?" she asked, "it was average."
In the late/afternoon evening (sorry for the time skip)
Also babes im sorry if you can relate to this ;((
my dms are open <33I was eating dinner quietly, while Micheal was yelling at the tv watching the footy. (With a beer in his hand of course.) Mum was doing the laundry, "Micheal could you please turn down the volume?" she asked. I placed my plate in the dishwasher, instead he just grunted in reply.
And threw a the beer bottle at her, "how can you let him push you around like that?" I exclaimed. I was done with this, and ran upstairs. Tears rolling down my face, as I heard them arguing. I sent a text to the group chat with my friends. "they r arguing again"- Audrey "oh no babe"- char "sneak out through ur window and come to mine xx"- pia "k thanks"- Audrey. I threw my school uniform and etc in a duffel bag and snuck out the window into the cold night. It was something I was used to by now, luckily Pia lived a few blocks away so it wasn't too far.
"Hey, come in" Pia whispered, "thanks for letting me stay with you tonight" I said. "It's okay, plus my mum isn't home and my sister is out with friends" Pia smiled. We walked upstairs and sat on her bedroom floor, "it sucks that we have school tomorrow" I said with a groan. "I know right, if we didn't have school tomorrow we could've gone and hooked up with some guys." she replied with a smirk, I burst out in laughter she always knew how to make me feel better.
We rewatched Euphoria for about the millionth time and then decided to turn out the lights. I checked my blood sugar before I went to sleep, just to make sure everything was okay. It was 7.6 which was fine. I let sleep overcome me.
I woke up to Pia's alarm clock buzzing loudly, "piaaa wake your dumbass up" I yelled in her ear. "omG oKaY iM uP" she mumbled, the alarm clock said "6:45 am" I rubbed my eyes and followed Pia downstairs. She threw a muesli bar at my face, I caught it and checked my blood sugar and surprisingly it was normal which is a good sign. I took a but from the muesli bar and went upstairs to get dressed.
Pia, Lucy and Charlotte my best friends since primary school attended the same school as me which was St Bernards.
(I have no idea if that's a real school but anyways <33)I threw on my uniform and grabbed my bag, "PIAAA COME ON, LUCY AND CHAR ARE WAITING FOR US AT THE BUS STOP" I yelled "IM JUST PUTTING ON MY SHOES HOLD ON BITCHIE" she yelled back. Pia locked the door and we walked to the bus stop, luckily it was a 5 minute walk and it was a nice spring day with the sun shining brightly in my face.
"HEY BABES!" Char practically screamed, "how are you full of energy-" Lucy grumbled. Lets just say Lucy is not a morning person..
We hopped on the bus and before we knew it we were at school, aka hell. (The babes that get it get it the babes that don't don't.) Pia was fiddling with her skirt, trying to shorten it maybe? "Pia stop that, no one wants to get flashed okay?" Lucy sighed.
Char and I burst out in laughter, my friends were my escape from reality when I was with them everything was just okay. Then the bell for class went, Lucy and I had biology (one of my favourite subjects!!) "I'll see you guys next period okay?" I smiled at Char and Pia.
