Chapter 17

Hope

"So, what do you want to do today? I'll need to get home for some clothes but other than that I'm free." Leaning on his elbow, he starts kissing me slowly. After two rounds of amazing euphoria, Jax still has the energy to go on. Unfortunately I can't say the same for me. I need to pee so badly.

"You. I want to do you Hope all day, all night. We do have some serious making up to do so clothes won't be necessary. Let's just stay naked here all day." his mouth moves lower to my belly but just the little more pressure he applies reminds me that I really have to use the bathroom.

Explaining my situation, he stops and helps me get up from the bed. My legs are a little wobbly and although there is nothing that he hasn't seen before, I hesitate before walking around naked. Grabbing one of his T-shirts that is lying on the floor, I make my way towards the bathroom.

Washing my face, trying to get rid of any remnants of makeup, I try to do something with my unruly hair but on second thought, I let them be. Post sex hair is something I begin to like actually.

On hearing the door open, Jax lets me know he is in the kitchen. His white T-shirt covering my body mid thigh does little to ease the uncomfortable feeling of walking without underwear on.

"Coffee or tea?" taking a seat behind the kitchen table, I am presented with various dishes which only remind me how sweet he can be. He woke up, took Luna for a walk and made all these for me. Touched by his gesture, I stand up and hug him tightly.

"What's wrong?" he asks, placing his finger under my chin so he can look at me. Smiling I explain how thankful I am for this but he goes on saying that he has to eat too and it's really nothing more than taking care of his hunger. Selfishness is one of the things I can never accuse him of though and he knows it.

With our bellies full and after offering to clean up the kitchen so he can take the shower he was meaning to three hours ago, I find myself thinking again. Is this how life will be from now on? Me staying at home doing chores while he is out working or whatever else he is doing when summer is over? Shivers run down my spine and shaking my head, I drop the tea towel and run towards the garden.

I need air to put my thoughts in order. Sex has distracted me enough for today but I think the talk we should have can't be postponed. I need a smoke but I don't have any on me. Pacing back and forth, biting my nails to ease some of my frustration I stop when I see a little girl running towards me.

"Who are you? Where is uncle Jax?" having no idea who the girl is and suddenly aware that I am sans underwear, I try hard to push the T-shirt lower and smile while waiting for Jax to appear. What is taking him so long?

"Do you know if he has finished my castle?" shaking my head, I ask the little girl to wait until her uncle is here.

"How did you get here? Is your mommy around?" shaking her head she lets me know that grandma brought her but she is on the phone so she just walked alone through the garden door. Oh that's just great; Jax's mother will meet me for the first time ever in my current state.

"Are you going to be alright by yourself for a few minutes so I can go get dressed and bring your uncle out?" shrugging, she takes a seat on the boat couch but before I have the chance to turn around, I hear Jax emerging from the house.

"Baby, what are you doing outside? Come back to bed or maybe you prefer some outdoors action? It's the middle of the day but I am down if you are in." his playful mood dies upon seeing the little girl behind me. Trying to secure the towel which was hanging dangerously low in his lower body makes matters even worse.

"What are you doing here Valeria? Where's your mom?" the girl, who I now know is named Valeria repeats the same things she's already told me. Jax seems guilty and I understand he hasn't made the castle in question.
