Chapter 17

The two months passed by really fast. Like I had promised to Connie, I called him to tell him that I'd go back home in a week.

He excitedly explained to me that he was planning to take all of us on the next day after my arrival to his uncle's beach house and we'd be there until the day after.

He told me what I should take but didn't tell me what we were going to do, saying that it was going to be his own secret.

"I can't wait for you to see us!" He blurted out.

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Oh, you'll see." I somehow could hear his malicious smile through the phone.

After calling him, I texted my mom to also not tell anyone so that it could be a secret between us three.

The last day finally arrived and me and Petra were already making plans to see each other again.

"I never asked you this but," She pointed at the Nobara plushie. "Did your boyfriend give you that?"

"Oh, no. It was my friend." I explained.

"Are they a guy or a girl?" She asked.

"A guy." I answered.

"And you say you're friends?"

"Yes." I raised my eyebrow, trying to understand what she was thinking.

"I see." She let out a laugh but I ignored her.

Suddenly, professor Hange knocked on our door to tell me that my mom had arrived. I said goodbye to both, grabbed my stuff and walked to my mom's car.

She got out of it and gave me a hug. Then, she helped me with my bags and we left the place.

On the way, I told her about the things I did and the people that I met. She told me that everyone at the restaurant was missing me and that Jean sometimes would work there.

When we got home, my pets jumped at me when I opened the door. I missed them so much and they missed me too.

With my mom's help, I started unpacking my bags to pack up them later for tomorrow. I texted Connie to tell him that I came back home.

He sent me the address and told me to be there around ten in the morning.

My mom then told me to go eat dinner and go to sleep after since I looked a bit tired from the trip and promised that she'd take care of my bag.

She woke me up the next morning and we made sure that everything was ready. I ate my breakfast and got ready to leave.

I was so excited to finally see my friends that I almost couldn't stay still in the car. I tried to put some music to relax but it wasn't helping that much.

A few minutes later, we finally arrived to the place. There were already cars parked so I figured that everyone was already here.

I called Connie and he came immediately. When he saw me, he gave me a big hug. When we parted the hug, I noticed how different he looked.

He had hair now, although it was still really short. He had a nose piercing and an earring on his left ear. He looked a little more buff than he used to be.

"How did you change so much in two months?" I commented.

"You changed too! Your hair looks amazing, by the way." He said.

He wasn't lying. My artist friends and I had a sleepover this one time and we all made some hair changes. I also got an ear piercing and bought more rings.
