There it went... Key had told everything to Jonghyun's mother. She had just been crying along with the younger as they had made their way inside the hospital again after they had been sitting outside for almost an hour.

Taemin had heard it all, and he didn't want to put Key through the same conversation with Onew which is why he had called the older and told it himself.

Soon the four was gathered outside of the room Jonghyun was hospitalized in. No one had the courage to be the first one to go in, which left them all in the most intense silence you could imagine. A silence so thick that it could be cut in two with a knife. A knife so sharp and painful that it would describe exactly what they all were feeling at this very moment.

There were no doubt that the guys felt most sorry for Jonghyun's mother, which is why Onew was the first one to get up. He wanted to volunteer as the first, because he knew how hard it most had been for the others even though he himself had known Jonghyun longer than Taemin and Key.

"I'll be right back," He told before anyone could get another word in.

Then the door opened for a split second - everyone held their breath as they looked in the direction Onew had left in - and then it closed again; leaving everyone let out a desperate gulp of air.

"I can't take this..." Taemin whispered as Key looked at him with sad eyes. "What will happen to him now? Everything will be changed when he gets out."

Key frowned as his gaze found the floor so he wouldn't break under his best friend's sadness. He couldn't be seen crying ones more - especially not in front of Taemin - he needed to be strong for the younger.

"Don't worry. He will always be the same person, and so will we." Key tried to convince himself and the other. "It's just the bond between us there is forgotten for the time being..." He trailed off in the wrong direction.

Jonghyun had forgotten them? Everything they had ever done and made together was lost. He couldn't believe what was happening was even real. Jonghyun didn't remember them? Not even his own mother.

Speaking of which; where did he have to live now? Both his mother and best friends seemed like strangers to him... This was not going to be easy. Not at all.

Key leaned back on the bench, closing his eyes while letting his hands cover his face. He felt like screaming, but he held back everything from his frustrated gulps of air to his yelling. He knew whatever would come out of his mouth would affect the two others, so he did his very best to stay calm and collected.

40 minutes had passed, which had left the three wondering what was happening behind the closed door. Were Jonghyun okay? Did Onew know how to handle it? Or was it completely silent inside the hospital room?

Key just sighed as he got up from his seat which made Taemin jump up to.

"Where are you going?" He asked worried as he looked at the other with tired, sad and puffy red eyes.

"I'm not going anywhere..." Key replied in a whisper as he looked towards the door Onew went through.

Should he walk in? Did he know how to handle it? Would he break down? Would he really want to visit someone who didn't remember him?

"Hyung..." Taemin whispered as he walked close enough for him to wrap his arms around the other.

Key was about to flinch at the touch, but he was honestly too drained for energy to fight back. He gave in, letting Taemin hug him from behind while the other rested his chin on top of his shoulder.

Suddenly the sound of the door opening caught the others' attention as they all looked up to see Onew step out of the room.

They all felt like jumping up to hear what had happened, but on the other hand they didn't really want to know. What if things was worse than they thought? Wait, was Onew even okay?

The mentioned man closed the door to the hospital room again as he pursed his lips into a thin line. Everyone looked expectantly at him as he ran a hand through his red/brown-ish hair before letting out a dry chuckle.

"He doesn't seem to remember anything..."

Everyone who had held their breath let it out as if they had held it for hours.

Taemin hugged his best friend tighter by the information as Key covered his face with his hands. Jonghyun's mother on the other hand couldn't handle it at all, so she left in such a hurry that none of the others had the chance to stop her. Onew just sighed as his gaze found the floor before he apologized and took off in the same direction as the female, which left the two best friends alone on the hallway.

"I can't handle this..." Key admitted as he tried to get out of the other boy's embrace.

"Where are you going?" Taemin asked as he held onto the other.

"I just want to go home right now." The other replied with a tired voice.

Taemin nodded quietly after some time as the two looked towards the hospital door one last time before leaving.

~~~~Onew's place~~~~

"I just texted him and he says he will stay with Jonghyun and his mother for a while." Taemin told as he kept his gaze into his phone.

Key didn't even reply back, he just threw himself on the couch as he starred into the ceiling. It was like he didn't have a single thought in his head, because that's how much he was worrying. He was worrying so much that he couldn't even concentrate on one of the many things he was thinking which left him with such a big headache that Taemin's small noises from the kitchen had him disturbed like crazy.

"Em... Hyung?" Taemin let out hesitating as he read another message from Onew. "Jonghyun will be released from the hospital tomorrow and his mom will be released next week."

Key got up in less than a second as he starred at his friend in disbelief. Jonghyun's mother would be okay? That meant they would probably move soon? He couldn't let that happen.

"Taemin, we need to do something."

"Do something?" The mentioned boy questioned confused.

"Yes, and I think I might got a plan."
