I loved the mornings by the sea. Everyone was sound asleep. It was just you and the waves. Its too early for any small worries to wash your way.

No tourists, no people, just the beautifully horrific. It was just so peaceful.

I could hear the birds singing, the waves roaring, and the sun shining. What ever a sun shining sounds like.
I could hear my mother. Her cries, her sorrow, her heartbreak.

"Hey" she says softly trying not to spook me. Mom puts one around me keeping me grounded and happy.

"What are you gonna do?" I ask not really have a ending to the question.
"What do you mean?" She asked looking at me with a confused look plastered across her face.

"I mean like will you just run the bakery forever? Like do you have anything planned big for a little bit?" I ask not really knowing why answer I'm truly looking for.

"I think this is the first time in a while that I'm settled. That I have a schedule for every day. And when I was your age that was the last thing I wanted. Me and your father wanted everyday to be a adventure. And when he died, I dreaded going through the same thing ever day. But I'm at a good point where I'm ok with waking up everyday to the sound of your music." She gives me a small smile rubbing my shoulder.

"I remember him sometimes. Just glimpse of his voice in my ear. Him singing me to sleep or in the morning like I do. I remember his eyes. Mostly cause you describe them so much that I start to see them in my dreams. I dream of him and me talking. Just like catching up. He just always says he's proud of you and me." I look back at the glistening waters.

I think back to the first night after my dad died. My mom would scream for him, Vivian's mother had to look after us. It was the first morning I was back at my house. She was screaming to hear singing in the morning again. So after that I sang and play piano every morning. And I hope that it stays that way.

6:23 pm

I sit at the table with the 3 fimiliar faces vivian, Matteo, and teodore. We sit laughing, bickering and smiling.

I watch my mom walk over here with a small peice of paper in her hand; and the other to her mouth in shock.
Vivian noticed before me in seemed. "April you good?" She asked catching our attention to mom.

"Aria... ivys getting married."〖𝔸𝕒〗Fonts for iPhone & Android - www.fontskeyboard.com/share
