Chapter 19

Swiftly, Hyunjin sprung out of her chair and slid across the floor on her knees to catch Haseul safely in her arms. Her heart sped up seeing the older simply pass out and drop to the floor but luckily her fast reflexes caught her in time.

Everyone ran over to them in shock and in worry once the former detective was in Hyunjin's arms. Gowon tried her best to ignore the pain she felt on her side and stood up to go see what was wrong.

Instant fear ran through Vivi's veins as she witnessed her girlfriend's eyes close before her body went limp. She had shot up from her chair in a flash and flew over to the black haired girl holding her passed out girlfriend.

"Oh my god! Haseul unnie!" Yeojin screams and feels scared to see her cousin basically almost drop dead.

"What the hell just happened?!" Yves yells out in confusion but is also concerned about the former detective.

Vivi kneels down in front of the two and notices how her girlfriend's skin is paler and she's sweating. Her eyebrows were furrowed in worry and knows that this is something serious.

"What do we do? She's probably in severe pain and needs to go to the hospital!" Jungeun says in worry and doesn't notice her girlfriend isn't feeling well either.

The girls were making a circle around Hyunjin holding Haseul wondering what is wrong with her. If the former detective turns out to be seriously hurt, they won't be able to do the heist as planned.

In the back, Jinsoul felt herself struggling to breathe as her vision goes blurry making her blink a few times. Her rapid heartbeat can be heard beating loudly in her eardrums.

A sudden pain is felt in her chest as she gets dizzy and tries to grab onto something to not fall over. The room is spinning and her body begins to feel hot as beads of sweat appear on her forehead.

"Guys..." Jinsoul mumbles feeling weaker and tries to get the girls' attention but her voice wasn't loud enough.

Shaking her head, Vivi is wearing a frown "We can't!" She exclaims and checks the younger's pulse only to widen her eyes "Her heart is beating really fast!" She becomes more worried and scared about her girlfriend.

Hearing that, Jiwoo steps forward and studies the former detective's symptoms. Since she's spent most of her young life watching her dad help patients, she knows a few things about medical care.

"Uh unnie..." Jiwoo says to get the older's attention "May I?" She asks while gesturing towards the former detective's shirt.

Vivi nods and feels her eyes are getting teary staring at Haseul's limp body. If she dies, the older doesn't know what she'll do without her even if they just got together.

"Jungie..." Jinsoul tries to grab her girlfriend's attention but isn't heard as she hunches over and places her hands on her knees feeling out of breath.

Everyone watches as Jiwoo gently lifts up Haseul's shirt and they couldn't help but gasp. On the former detective's abdomen, a big ugly bruise painted almost all of it in a purplish and reddish color.

They know that isn't supposed to be there and get immensely worried. Seeing the bruise, Jiwoo has an idea on what this could be and also because the symptoms are very clear.

"Oh no" The accountant mumbles and tries to think of a way to get medical help for the older.

Beside her, Vivi heard her loud and clear "Oh no? What do you mean by 'oh no'? Jiwoo, what is wrong with Haseul?" Her voice broke a bit at the end but she held herself together for the sake of the girls.

The younger furrows her eyebrows and knows a way Haseul can seek medical attention without anyone knowing she's not missing. Its risky but she thinks this is the only way to save the former detective's life.
