Chapter 20

The sun is now visible and shining upon the city as the air turned tense and no one moved a muscle. The girls felt themselves panicking from having heard the police burst out onto the rooftop.

They stared at each other with wide eyes and tried to think of a way to get out of this situation. There's also no way they're just going to leave Haseul and Jinsoul at the hospital while they run from the cops.

Loud cursing escaped the mafia members' lips as their faces contoured into angry expressions. The weapons in their hands get dropped to the floor resulting for a few clangs to echo.

Their boss is not gonna be happy with them now.

"On the ground now!" An officer yelled out as he stood in a line with four other officers beside him.

They all had their service weapons out and pointed at the only people they thought were on the rooftop. There were two officers more younger looking than the other three and seemed to be nervous.

All of them had on their regular blue uniform top and black slacks with a belt holding their necessary gear that easily told anyone they were law enforcement.

The mafia members began to lower themselves to the ground "Slowly!" They sighed while getting down onto their knees as their hands stayed up in the air.

Very discreetly, the girls had poked their heads out from cover and were watching the mafia members getting arrested. They felt their hearts racing wildly hoping that wouldn't be them and tried to come up with an idea.

They had to think of something and fast or else they're in trouble. If the cops have swarmed the hospital then that means its on lockdown which also means that they won't be able to get back inside without creditentials.

One officer kept his weapon trained on the mafia members as his fellow officers put theirs away and handcuffed them. This makes it easier for the officer to control them in case they decide to resist arrest or pull out another gun.

Then on accident, Jiwoo banged her elbow against the air vent she was hiding behind of causing for the cops to look over towards the roof they were on. She cursed at herself for moving as the girls stared at her in fear hoping no one heard the noise.

"Who's there?! Come out with your hands up!" An officer called out while having his gun aimed towards where the girls were at.

Nevermind they heard it.

The other officers quickly finished putting on the handcuffs and patted down the mafia members before making them lay flat on their stomach.

They joined the other officer by pulling out their guns and pointing it at the direction he was. The big and bright lights on the surrounding rooftops made it better for them to look for anyone.

If they don't surrender, the cops will just then swarm the building they're on without them being able to escape. If they do surrender, then they'll get arrested and charged for possession of an illegal firearm and won't have anyone to bail them out.

Haseul and Jinsoul are out of commission for who knows how long, Gowon is too injured to come get them and there isn't anyone else they can trust to help them so they're on their own for now.

Let's just hope the cops don't decide to raid the building they're on and come up to the rooftop.

As the girls silently argued, Yeojin on the other hand managed to come up with an idea on how to get them back into the hospital without getting caught but they're not gonna like it. Why?

Because it involves her being the bait for the cops to chase and get caught so the girls can sneak their way inside with the help of a brilliant hacker at their disposal.
