The sun was shining brightly in the sky and watching over everyone in the city as they were bustling up and down the streets. Although the weather has been getting colder these days, there were still people walking around while being covered up in thick layers.

Crossing an intersection, Captain Choi was driving at the speed limit this time and thinking about a couple of things. He's wondering what Taeyeon is going to tell him and if she knows that he knows that Haseul isn't missing like everyone thinks she is.

Never in his whole career has he had a rogue officer or detective in his police department. Most of the detectives and regular patrol officers that work with him are arrogant and kind of slow but they were never the type to go rogue or even become a mole for the mafia.

One of his best detectives has been working with the Kim mafia for almost three years and he never knew or even had a hunch about it. He felt betrayed by her because he took care of her like his own daughter and she couldn't even stay loyal to him like he thought she would.

The police captain tightened his grip on the steering wheel and clenched his jaw, feeling enraged at himself for not seeing this coming. He began blaming himself for not noticing the warning signs Taeyeon was giving off once Haseul disappeared and he knew he should've talked to her about it.

Arriving at the police station, Captain Choi parked the car in the lot filled with about a dozen patrol cars. There were a couple of patrol officers hanging around outside, talking amongst themselves before greeting him as he marched over to the side door of the station.

He headed inside and strided passed the hallway leading into the car garage before going straight to his office. A few greetings were thrown his way and he simply smiled at them or gave them a nod while walking further into the station.

Reaching his office, the police captain pushed open the door and walked in to see someone he was just thinking about "Taeyeon?" His blood began boiling at the sight of the person that just betrayed him and caused for his trust he had in them vanish.

Hearing her name, Taeyeon turned around smiled at him with a manila folder in her hand as her face was filled with cuts and bruises "Hey Cap, I got some new evidence of the case we're working on" She mentioned opening the folder and started looking through it while he shut the door.

A quiet sigh escaped Captain Choi's lips as he strolled over to his desk "What case? The one you arrested Yeojin on?" He asked pulling out his chair while being very cautious of her and took a seat.

"Yes sir, we found out she used a glock 19 that's registered to someone we know very well" The detective said with a slight forced tone and tugged a picture out of the folder before closing it "Ballistics ran the gun and it's clear it belongs to..." She gently placed the picture on his desk before finishing her sentence "Haseul" Her hands slowly balled up into fists after saying the name of her ex-girlfriend and it left a sour taste on her tongue.

The police captain did not seem surprised hearing her tell him the person they've been looking for is not missing anymore "Hmm..." He stared at the picture on his desk for a second before looking back up at her "Are you sure?" His facial expression remained stoic so she can't tell he's lying with his arms folded over his chest.

"I'm sure sir, we double checked and the gun was her back up weapon, so it's been test fired" Taeyeon noticed he wasn't believing her but she knew this would happen "Look sir, I know it may seem a little of a long shot because Haseul's been gone for a while and we haven't been working on her case for some time but," She opened the folder again before pulling out a paper of a map with a small, red 'X' drawn in the center and set it on top of the picture "I managed to find her location" Her voice cracked just a bit at the end but she quickly recomposed herself by clearing her throat and tried to not let this situation affect her.
