As the sky turned dark, the city became less and less loud. It was almost midnight so majority of the city were asleep to get up in the early morning. Yet there were some parts of the city where people were still awake doing things.
The moon shines bright over the big city as the time soon became later. It was now time for the meeting to happen as Haseul anxiously waited for them to show up.
She felt like they wouldn't come at all but at the same time they would. The former detective knew Jiwoo was coming but needed for the others to also.
Haseul sat down on the couch as she felt herself getting tired from waiting for them. The heist needed to be done for her dad to understand how serious she was back then. If this heist does happen, she'll make sure her dad goes to jail for money laundering.
Suddenly, a thump was heard from the outside of the warehouse. Haseul springs up from the couch and reaches into her back to take out the glock 19 hidden in her jeans.
Pointing it to the door of the warehouse, she stealthily moves over to it. She turns on the small flashlight on her glock as there was another thump heard.
Haseul presses her back against the wall while still pointing at the door. Her heart races a little bit since its been a while she's done something like this.
Quickly reaching into her pocket, she takes out the black mask and puts it on. Her hat was already on her head in case she came into contact with someone.
As she slowly moves to open the door, voices were heard outside. She presses her ear against the door to listen to them while still staying alert.
There whispers heard and she can distinguish at least three different voices. It sounds like they were arguing about something which makes Haseul grip her gun tighter.
"You open the door! You're the oldest!" A voice yells in a whisper.
"I'm not opening it! You open it since you're the one wanting to come!" Another voice says and a scoff is heard.
"We all wanted to come! For fucks sake just open the door dude!" The third voice yells as they were still arguing.
Haseul sighs silently before slowly stepping away from the door. She walked back to keep a good distance from the door in case they came in.
The voices seem to have quiet down as the former detective holds her gun pointed at the door. The lights were dimmed since the warehouse didn't offer bright lights. Then, a firm yet hesitant knock was heard on the steel door.
Lowering her glock a little, Haseul takes slow steps towards the door and holds the handle. She breathes in a puff of air before releasing it.
"Who is it?" She asks in a deep tone not wanting the people outside to hear her actual voice.
There was some silence heard until a small yet strong voice answered her question.
"Uh its us the people you recruited for the job. Is this the right place?" They were a little confused but still somewhat confident that this was the place to meet.
Haseul widens her eyes and quickly stuffs the glock back in her jeans. She felt relieved to know that they actually came out to meet her. Opening the door, she was met with three young girls whom she recognized from the body shop.
The girls were alerted when they heard the door open. They backed up a little and looked up to see the person. It was a female but she looked familiar to them as they tried to remember where they've seen her before.
Haseul gives a nod at them "Hello, I'm surprised you guys actually came. I thought you wouldn't believe everything in the folders. Come in" She tells them and opens the door wider.
