The next morning, I woke Mirabel up.

"Buenos días, hermana." Mirabel yawned, sitting up and and rubbing her face.

"Something happened last night after you went to sleep." I said.

Mirabel tilted her head.

   "What?" she asked.

"I'll tell you after breakfast." I said. I opened my bag slightly to show Mirabel a glimpse of Bruno's vision, and she widened her eyes at me.

After breakfast, Mirabel and I helped clean and put the dishes away.

As we were walking outside, I noticed Camilo making a beeline towards me, but Abuela called him away.

Mirabel and I then walked into the village, looking for people to help. On the way, she began to ask questions.

"So what happened? You got a vision?" Mirabel asked me.

I nodded, taking it out of my bag.

"I was about to go to sleep, but I heard Dolores making a lot of noise, so I asked her what was going on, and she seemed to be freaking out about something she heard." I explained.

   "What was it?" Mirabel asked.

"Señor Bruno. We went downstairs to the kitchen and he was on the floor. That's when he gave me this." I said, handing Mirabel the vision.

She tilted it, observing each section.

"Was he okay? Did he know anything about what it means?" she asked, looking at me.

I shook my head.

"He was fine, we helped him get snacks and took him back to his room. But, he didn't know what the vision meant." I said. "He also said that he saw me get attacked in his vision." I said, looking down at the ground.

Mirabel stopped walking.

   "By who?" she asked.

"He didn't know that, either." I said, scratching my head. "He said he saw me dancing, and there were lights around me."

Mirabel sighed deeply. She handed the vision back to me, and I put it back into my bag.

"Don't worry, Imena. No matter what happens, we'll be right there with you." she said, linking her arm with mine.

I smiled softly.

   "Thank you, Mira." I said.

After helping a few villagers, Mirabel and I wandered over to a small school of children. They laughed obnoxiously, their high-pitched voices grinding my ears.

"Why are they so loud?" I asked, wincing. Mirabel chuckled.

"This is normal for children." she said.

I sighed deeply and shook my head.

One little girl turned around and noticed us standing there.

"Guys, guys! Look! It's the new girl!" she said, waving her friends over.

I glanced at Mirabel, who shrugged.

"What's your gift?" one little boy asked.

I raised a brow.

"Do you have a gift? Tell us what it is!" the first little girl demanded.

   "I don't have a gift." I said.

The kids looked at each other puzzled.

"Why not? How can you live in that house and not have a gift?" another child asked.
