WE RAN the whole way until we were close enough.

"Come on." Mal beckoned the boys. "Check your mirror."

"Is my mascara smudged?" Evie asked, alarmed.

"Yeah." Mal panted, stepping down the stairs.

"Hey, Evie, while you're at it, why don't you see if you can find us the wand." I smiled sweetly at her.

"Sure, this way." She glanced down at her mirror and started leading us to it, with us on her tail, running, once again.

I was first to make it to the door and saw a spinning wheel in the glass. They all gasped seeing the cameras watching every single treasure from every single story. Then the security guard's chair squeaked, he was about to turn and see us. The other four ran to the sides while I ducked down and stood back up after a moment.

"That's your mother's spinning wheel?" Jay laughed with the freckled boy.

"Yeah, it's kind of dorky." Carlos added.

"It's magic, it doesn't have to look scary." Mal scoffed turning her head back to it.

"Then why is your mother?" I snickered while the boy laughed even louder.

"Sh! Magic spindle do not linger. Make my victim prick a finger." Mal recited reading a page from her spell book, meaning to spell the guard. Surprisingly, he didn't move, just yawned.

"Impressive." Jay nodded sarcastically.

"I got chills." Carlos fakely admitted, the two comments making me snicker.

"Okay, you know what..Prick the finger, prick it deep. Send my enemy off to sleep." She recited it differently, reading the next line.

The man then stood up and walked near the wheel, he then pricked his finger and a small gush of green exploded. He yawned loudly and stretched his arms out and laid down on the platform the wooden artifact sat on.

"Not so dorky now, huh?" She glanced over at me.

"His words not mine." I smiled as she tried to open the door.

"Stand back." Jay ordered smugly, backing up. We didn't move as he asked though and Mal flipped through her pages.

"Make it easy, make it quick, open up without a kick." She said and the doors flew open.

Jay ran forward not noticing the now open doors, which led to him kicking the air and landing on the ground. We all had a good laugh and passed him. I ruffled up his hat as he was on the ground, sitting like a baby.

"Come on, Jay." Carlos grunted picking him up.

"I'm good." He groaned shoving him off and placing his 'tuff' demeanour back on.

Carlos backed off, putting his hands up in surrender. "Just tryna help."

We walked around the platform looking at the outfits and armour stands indented in the wall, suddenly the guard moved causing Jay to run and Carlos to freeze.

"Hey, De Vil!" I whisper-yelled.

"Coming!" He replied the same way, tip-toeing his way toward us.

We sped down a hall, loudly I might add. "So close." Evie panted looking at her mirror. "Upstairs."

Mal stayed at the bottom to make sure no one followed us while we were running, eventually she followed us smiling.

"Up, up, up, up. Come on, guys. Almost there."

We turned the corner and I saw all of our parents. We all walked forward in sink, flabbergasted that our mothers and fathers were in a museum. I carefully inspected my mother.
