I WAS sleeping in Carlos's lap in a chair in front of the printer, as the thing took its sweet time. His arms were around my waist, mine around his neck and his head nestled right under my jaw.
Suddenly the thing beeped and meant it was done. My eyes fluttered open and I jumped up off his lap. It was finally done, it's been literal hours, and the sun is almost up. I shook their shoulder, waking them up.
Jay opened his eyes first and swatted Carlos's arm. "Carlos."
"Mmm... What?" He mumbled then was wide awake. They both stood up, and my boyfriend opened the glass window and took the wand from the stand. "Heh, not bad."
"No kidding. Let's bounce, boys!" I shouted, grabbing my bag and the wand from him.
"Hey, guys, what about me?" Dude asked us, stopping us before we could leave.
"You stay. I'm serious. Stay." Carlos pointed at him and he whined, lying down in his bed. "I love you, buddy. We'll be back before you know it."
We left the room and raced down and out of the building. We strode outside but then Doug approached us. I gasped and put an illusion over myself, who was holding the wand, making me and the stick invisible.
"Hey, have you seen Evie?" Son of Dopey asked.
"Uh... She went camping." Carlos made us Jay chuckled.
"Your kidding right?" I whispered, scoffing in their ears.
"Evie 'I want to live in a castle'? Sleeping on the ground with no place to plug in a hair dryer?" Doug asked in disbelief.
"You know how spontaneous she is, bro. Right?" He and Jay laughed off.
"Totally, totally." Jay nodded.
"Later Doug." Carlos waved as he went inside.
We turned around and were met by Lonnie which made me squeak quietly. "I'm coming with you guys."
Jay laughed fakely. "What? We don't need swords at the... Waffle Hut."
I and Carlos turned to him because that was the dumbest answer ever. I whispered in his ear, yanking a strand of his tangled hair. "Seriously!?"
"You're going to the Isle to rescue Ben. Look, it's either you take me, or.. I'm gonna have to tell Fairy Godmother." She sighed crossing her arms.
I took off my illusion and her eyes widened. "Fine, we do probably need swords, anyway. We are fighting pirates."
"Yay!" Lonnie squealed excitedly, hugging me.

I got out of the car, leaving my bag but not my dagger behind, with the others and walked over to the girls. "We brought Lonnie, well, more like she made us."
Lonnie ran over and hugged the two. "Good, I'm so glad." Mal commented.
"Welcome to the Isle. It's good to see you." Evie welcomed her.
"Thanks." Lon thanked us as the boys grabbed the swords and came over.
I pulled the wand out of the inside of my jacket and Mal made a gesture, wanting to see it. "Ooh, here, let me see it. Wow, what a beauty."
I checked my pocket watch, which was also a necklace around my neck, a matching one with my brother. "It's noon."
"Alright, are we ready?" Mal asked everyone.
"Yeah." Evie nodded, holding up the bag of smoke bombs.
"Let's do this." We began walking into the tunnel as Carlos stayed behind, making sure Dude stayed.
