Plot:
Y/n Ascham was the late son of the Ascham family, and bore the 4th crest, which was known as the Crest of Failure. His father, who married Y/n's mother to have one of his children bare his crest, the Crest of Glory, became enraged, and punched Y/n right in the face, and calling him a waste of space.
However, as his father's fist made it towards his face, a bunch of memories came into Y/n's head. They were memories of his past life, as 18 year old Haru Johnson. Y/n then fought back against his father using his magic, and managed to beat him, much to his family's shock.
Y/n then meets Matthias Hildesheimer, and learns about how he was reincarnated, but he was reborn in this world, and not sent to another. Matthias then taught Y/n everything he knew about magic, and when they both reached the age of 12, they both leave home to challenge the entrance examination of the Royal Second Academy.
However, the two quickly uncover signs of demons working and manipulating human activity within the dark, and with humanity being in an incredibly weakened state, the two work together to try and stop the demon's plans.
