Ella Robinson is a very unique girl, as despite being only 19, she has done things that no teen her age could ever do. But this has also resulted in young Ella not being able to make many friends outside of her gamer/anime club.
But her entire life changes, as out from the sky, a book comes falling down. Ella picks it up, learns that it's called the Y/n Light Note, and after looking around, does laugh a bit and comments out loud about the whole Death Note joke, but after no one responds to her, she takes it and heads home.
When Ella does arrive home, she is broken down, as a monster from an anime she watched has killed her entire family. When she tries to avenge her family, the monster attacks, but says one thing to Ella. "Where is the Y/n Note?"
Ella is confused on why this thing wants the book she had obtained, but doesn't care about that and focuses on avenging her family. However, no matter how many times she tries, she fails, but her determination stays strong, wanting to avenge her family.
As this happens, the monster goes to attack, but it's attack is blocked by a sword, and it is revealed to be a knight in white armor with a game-like sword. Ella, still very confused by what's going on, watches as the knight fights off and kills the beast.
After the monster is slain, the knight disappears, and Ella notices that inside the Y/n Note, there's a chapter for a character named Y/n L/n, the main character in a story called, "Konosuba: A CPU's Blessing on This Wonderful World."
After learning of the immense power the character has, it doesn't take long for Ella after that to realize what that monster wanted. It wanted the Y/n Note so it could use it's power for destruction.
Now knowing this information, she makes a vow to protect the Y/n Note, and learn everything she can about all the Y/ns that are made inside of the book, as well as the allies they made in their stories. However, what she doesn't realize is that there is a notebook that can call upon on the dark versions of Y/n known as the Y/n Dark Note.
Ella does learn this in time, and learns something incredibly dangerous. The wielder of that Notebook... is someone within her very school. Can Ella and The Y/ns of Light prevail, or will they, along with the world, fall into Darkness? Only time will tell.
