Eijeh stared in amazement as Hayden shovelled down food like they would never eat again.
"How can you eat so much, so fast?" He marvelled
"Are you kidding? When was the last time you ate?" They mumbled through a huge mouthful of food.
"Umm..." He thought for a moment. "Not since...Probably before I woke up in room 407. But I'm not particularly hungry. Somehow. All I really want is to sleep."
They grinned and swallowed. "This is why I call you a Sleeping Beauty."
"I'm so tired though. How many lessons do we have left?"
"Three."
"Ughhhh. Don't mind me, I'm just going to sleep. For a little while."
Hayden looked at him with amusement. "Sleep well Sleeping Beauty." They smiled softly and patted him gently on the head. Then they went back to shovelling food in their mouth, ruining the moment. Eijeh laid his head on his arms and closed his eyes. He had just started to drift off when something crashed into him, spilling a cold drink down the back of his neck.
"OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY! I'M SUCH AN IDIOT!" A somehow familiar voice exclaimed.
"Hey, calm down Addi. It wasn't your fault."
He could practically hear 'Addi' blushing. "I'm so clumsy..."
He turned round and saw a blushing girl that seemed vaguely familiar and a black and green head of hair...
"Vesper?"
She smiled. "That's me. We were coming to check how you were doing. Then Addi accidentally tripped and spilt her drink."
"I'm so sorry! I'm an absolute idiot!" The other girl wailed. She raised her head finally and Eijeh felt as though someone had given him an electric shock. He knew her. Her light brown skin, snow-white hair and hypnotic black-red eyes all seemed so familiar.
Vesper smiled. "First of all, Hay, please don't choke. Slow down with the food." Hayden nodded then continued doing the exact thing he'd been told not to. "Secondly, I wanted to introduce my girlfriend. Addi, this is my little sibling Hayden D'Arque and their friend Eijeh Ignis, aka Budget Dracula. Budget Dracula, Hay, meet Adira Hema, all round klutz, leader of the Warcraft class, and the love of my life. Also a vampire." Eijeh felt his mouth drop open. Adira sighed.
"Yeah, I'm somehow the girlfriend of this amazing girl. I wonder how that happened too."
"Wait...You're the girl who forgot her homework and left it on my desk, aren't you?"
She went even redder. "That was you whose desk I crashed into?! I'm so sorry!"
Vesper put an arm round Adira's waist. "Hey, Addi, look at me. You're beautiful. And amazing, and talented, and if you're good enough for me, you're good enough for anyone. Platonically, of course." Adira smiled slightly.
"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww." Hayden's eyes were shining. "That was so cute!"
As Vesper and Adira slid into the seats opposite them, Eijeh closed his eyes and slept. Because for all the fun today had been so far, it was also far too exhausting for Eijeh, who tended to sleep 8 hours a day on a normal day.

He dreamt he was in a dark forest, with someone chasing him. He tripped and fell, landing...At the altar, during a wedding. Someone smiled at him, but their features were hazy. He tried to speak, to ask what was happening, but nothing came out. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again he was in a house. There were two people leaning over him, and someone on the floor next to him. He felt happy, safe.

Then he woke up, squinting at the world with an exasperated sigh.
