"Everyone get out! It's spreading and I'm too much of an idiot to control it!" Mimicked Eijeh's double. There were two other people behind the fake Eijeh, but they were too hidden in shadow for him to be able to see them clearly.
"Who are you?!" He yelled, hoping desperately they couldn't hear the tremor in his voice.
"Who does it look like?" His double replied.
"Uhh...Me?" He glanced over his shoulder at the ever growing fire.
"Who does it look like now?" He spun, and saw that it was now...Pluto Alodia?? What???
"...Alright, I'll admit it, I'm confused."
"Understandable. See, here's the thing. I'm a shapeshifter." They changed again, but this time to a sort-of short kid who looked, somehow, more vampiric than Adira Hema, a literal vampire. "I'm Rowan. But you can call me..." They did a dramatic flourish. "Commander Rowan. Oh, and anything but she/her, please."
This day could seriously not get any weirder. The past few hours alone had been weird enough, with Zia's psycho roommate, that presence that demanded coffee, Hayden's behaviour, the match, and now a shapeshifter he should call Commander Rowan. "Uhh...okay. Who are your friends?" He was extremely aware of Alodia hurling insults at him, telling him to "stop being such a dumb little *****!" and to "help me put out the ****** fire already, *****!!", but he tried to ignore it. Maybe these people could help.
"This..." Commander Rowan did another dramatic flourish to his left. "Is Cal. They/them." She stepped forward, smiling.
"Hello," they said sweetly.
Eijeh waved awkwardly. "...Hi."
"I'm going to warn you now, they could kill you and all your friends and would still look this kind." Rowan cautioned. Eijeh gulped.
"And—And your other friend?" Rowan began to introduce the third person, but before they could, the final person waved, revealing themselves.
"Hiii!! I'm Arleigh Rivers!! She/her!! Nice to meet you!!"
"Arli, you just ruined my dramatic intro."
"Sorry not sorry, Commander."
"That's a nice name."
"Thanks! Do you need some help??"
"Uhh...probably?"
Arleigh leapt into action. "Rowan, I need someone tall to keep an eye on things."
Rowan nodded. "Got it." Quick as a flash, he'd morphed into Blair, who was around 6ft 3in, by Eijeh's estimations. "Woah, I'm so tall. Imma keep this form so no one can mock me for being short."
Arleigh surveyed the scene and made a few motions in the air in front of her. "Okay, so...Yup, if we do this, followed by this, and then use that...Got it!"
Cal smiled at Eijeh. "Sav is awesome at figuring stuff out. The gestures she's doing in the air, can you see her doing them? She's writing equations to help her with a plan. Only visible to her, unless she wills it so.  She's extremely strategic, which makes her a good ally and a horrible enemy to have." They explained, nodding at where Savannah was calling out instructions to Rowan. She turned and yelled something in their direction, causing Cal to run off. "Get your friends to help!" They called as she disappeared.

"Why should we trust them?" Alodia had her arms folded and was scowling.
"Do we have any other choice?!" Eijeh yelled.
"I— I'm with Eijeh." That was Zia.
"I don't feel like dying today, so I'm with Zee." Ellowyn took Zia's hand and she blushed.
Blair frowned. "If it gets everyone out safely, including them, I'm in."
Everyone turned to Hayden. "I'm with Space Girl."
Pluto glanced up to see everyone's eyes on her. "Oh, for God's sake. Fine. Let's get this over with."

This was crazy fun to write, and I'll try update more frequently from now on.
