Well. Riley signed, gently helping Vesper to her feet.
"Owwwww...Can you sue a cat? Because that was painful." Riley shrugged. Maybe? Vesper nodded grimly. "Adira, my beloved? Are you okay?" Before coughing something that sounded suspiciously like 'Like you say I am, despite my probable concussion...'
"I'm fine. Except for a few scratches from the pretty kitty that was just in here. And you're fine."
"Oh, really? And how do you know that?"
"Marco?"
"Y-Yeah? Oh, s-sure, A-Adira, Vesper." Marco gently made his way through the chaos the room had been thrown into and gently placed his hands on Vesper's temples. Eijeh started and his mind went back to that day in the library, when he found out about Liam.

After Marco had finally exhausted himself crying, he had lain his hands upon each broken spine he had caused, focusing for a few seconds before placing the renewed book on the shelf where it came from. Eijeh had watched in barely contained awe, and when he had finished, he'd stood up and faced Eijeh. He still didn't appear to be quite back to his usual self, knuckles bruised and smeared with crimson, a harshness in his normally gentle eyes.
"E-Eijeh." The younger boy had swallowed and nodded. "I-If you tell a-anyone a-about this, I w-will never, n-never forgive you. E-Ever. G-Got it?" Eijeh had nodded again, unsure what to say. Marco glared at him. "S-Swear it." "I swear." Marco, apparently satisfied, nodded and started walking away from a very perplexed Eijeh, who stood gazing after him until Ellowyn came clattering into the library searching for his lost roommate.

"Oi."
"Huh?"
"Gingernut here's been asking you the same question for the past three minutes." Pluto Alodia rolled her eyes so hard they nearly disappeared back into her head.
Hayden nearly choked. "Gingernut?!?"
"Yes. I got bored of you calling me Space Girl. And you're ginger."
"Thanks a lot."
Alodia shrugged as if to say, 'you're welcome'.
"So, um, what was the question?" Eijeh ventured tentatively, unsure if the miniature feud had come to an end.
"I was asking if you wanted to, um..." They seemed nervous.
"Go on..." Eijeh prompted, hyperaware of Pluto Alodia watching them with an evilly victorious smile, and somehow, a tiny bucket of fake popcorn she must have been keeping in her satchel.
"Would you...um..." They went scarlet, and Eijeh felt his cheeks heating up as well. Hayden looked adorable when they were nervous, and Eijeh felt slightly embarrassed with the way their silver haired friend was watching them, like she was watching a long-awaited romance scene in some movie.
"Would you... Would you help me, um..." They dropped their voice to an embarrassed whisper. "Well... I want to remember."
"Remember?"
"Remember my parents. My life before this. My friends. Where I lived. Pets. All that sort of stuff."

Pluto Alodia groaned. "And here we thought you were gonna confess your undying love for everyone's favourite Budget Dracula. C'mon, Gingernut, you've disappointed the audience."
Hayden seemed to flush all the way from their toes to their hair, where the two shades clashed brilliantly. "What audience?! We're not in a movie or a book, Space Girl. And also, I do not have 'undying love' for my best friend!" Pluto just raised her eyebrows. That was, before she doubled over, having just been hit in the stomach by a brick that came out of absolutely nowhere.
Hayden also doubled over, only they doubled over with laughter. Eijeh grinned, but he was thinking about what Hayden had said. About wanting to remember.

Surely it would be better for people to know. Or at least have a choice. But at the same time... Hmm. Eijeh sat in silence for a minute before an idea hit him like the brick that hit Pluto Alodia. A survey. Brilliant. If most people wanted their memories back, he'd do it. For all of them. He'd find a way. But if most felt the precise opposite of what Hayden felt, he'd do it for them. He'd do anything for them. In this land of uncertainties and chaos, he knew that for sure.
