"Why are we in here Miss Kate?"
"We leave for Regionals in 2 days ladies, I know you two have had some past issues, so I hope you two have sorted everything out."
"Yes Miss Kate, Michelle and I are great friends. We're ready to compete."
"That's good, now you two go and start rehearsal."
"Yes Miss Kate."
I don't know if things are really that good between Michelle and I, it's been a few days since the whole costume closet thing. I mean it's definately complicated. She still hasn't told me who she likes, so I'm assuming it's Eldon, whatever, at this point I give up. She can have him.
We walk out of Miss Kate's office and Michelle stops me.
"Emily you have an eyelash on your face."
"Where?"
Michelle lightly grabbed my cheek and removed the eyelash with her thumb.
"There, all better."
Michelle let go of my cheek and went to join the rest of our team in rehersal, I felt the feeling of her hands lingering on my cheek, my heartbeat started to increase, and I tried to calm down, but something about her touch just got to me. I'm the type of person who can fall for someone just from a touch. But, it can also take something much bigger for me to fall for someone, there's just no balance. When Michelle touched my cheek, I knew I was a gonner. The feeling I got was unexplainable. With Eldon it took years and countless romantic acts for me to fall for him, but with Michelle, it just took a touch. Stupid eyelash, stupid Michelle. There is only 2 days until Regionals, I can't be dealing with these emotions, besides I think Michelle likes Eldon, so there's no point in liking her, I just have to focus on Regionals and push away whatever I just felt for her.
I head over to the group to start the rehearsal, I walk around and look at the dance, it looks good I guess, I'm not really that focused on it. I keep focusing on what I felt when Michelle touched my face, I can't believe of all people I feel something for her. It seems like this dance is going on forever. I'm trying my hardest to look like I'm focused on the dance, but really, I couldn't be more unfocused. This is just so overwhelming it's insane.
I walk over the the radio and stop the song. I can't take this anymore, I need to think without worrying about anything else.
"The dance looks good, lets all go home now, bye."
I turn to leave when some A-Troupe members stop me.
"Woah, Emily. We need to rehearse." West said.
"Yeah, Emily, what's wrong? Like, this is important, you can't just call of rehearsal after only getting through half of the first dance." Stephanie said.
Why can't everyone just do what I say and leave? God people are difficult.
Like I thought Stephanie was my best friend, why can't she see that I'm mentally pre-occupied?
"Let's just start from the top. I'll be right back, you guys can go through it."
I quickly left the room, hearing the rest of the dancers talking, I wasn't really listening to what they were saying. I made my way to the drinking fountain. I took a quick drink then sat on the bench beside the fountain.
I can't be acting like this. Regionals is in 2 days, you can't let any of these thoughts distract you, just push the feelings away. Alright, I'm gonna walk back in there and focus on the dance. I took a deep breath and walked through the doors and I saw the dancers weren't dancing. Did they even listen to me?
"Why aren't you guys dancing? Regionals is Saturday, get it together, take your places, and dance like your at regionals right now. Let's go! Places!"
The dancers quickly got into their places withou hesiation. I started the music and they started to dance.
"James that leg has to go higher."
"Chloe! Spacing!"
"Tiffany it's to the right!"
"That part was good everyone!"
"Riley, your foot!"
"Good jump Michelle!"
"Chloe that needs to be higher!"
The music died down and the routine ended.
"A few of you need to fix some things, but overall the dance looks good. Let's run through it again."

|Michelle's P O V|
"Good jump Michelle!"
Emily just complimented me? This is the best day ever.
I keep dancing until the routine ends and we get into our finishing poses.
Emily tells us to run the dance again so we do, we ended up running through it 5 times, and in those 5 times, Emily complimented me 4 times! She usually never compliments me. This made my day 20 million times better.
"Okay guys, good rehersal, listen. There's only 1 practice left after today, and we need to make it count. The routine looks amazing everyone, I'm really proud. I'll see you all tomorrow, don't be late."
Everyone grabbed their things and left studio A, I saw Emily grabbing her things so I decided to go and talk to her.
"Hey Emily."
Emily picked up her red dance bag,
"Oh Michelle, hi."
"What happened earlier? Why did you stop the music?"
"Umm..."
I could tell something was wrong, I could see it in her eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"Look, I've gotta go. See you tomorrow."
With that, Emily left. Maybe she's still upset with me? Who knows. But something is off with her. I can't help but wonder what's wrong. I look over and see Emily walking down the hallway towards the exit. I see one of her bracelets on the bench, and without hesitation, I grab it and run down the hallway.
"Emily wait!"
Emily turns around and looks at me, "What?"
I grab her hand softly and put the bracelet in it.
"You almost left that here."
Emily quickly put the bracelet in her bag then she kept walking, without even saying goodbye.
