Emily's P O V
We're sitting on couches outside of our dressing room. We just lost the last round. We still have a shot at the wildcard, but it's not guaranteed we'll get that. We have 30 minutes until the wildcard spot is given to the team most deserving. I really hope we're the team the judges think are most deserving to get the wildcard.
I look over to where Riley is sitting, she's in tears. James and Chloe are sitting with her and talking to her, I can't tell exactly what they're saying, but I know they're trying to comfort her. It wasn't Riley's fault that we lost, things happen. She probably didn't put in her hair piece tight enough, but what happened happened. Everybody makes mistakes.
I look over to where Michelle is sitting, of course she's with Eldon. Stupid Eldon, god I wish he was gay, it would make my life so much easier.
Oh look, she's touching his arm. How great.
"Emily, I'm talking to you!"
I totally forgot I was talking to Steph and Tiffany, I zoned out when they startes talking about their crushes. I could not care less right now.
"What? Sorry, I zoned out..."
Stephanie rolled her eyes.
"How are things with you and Eldon?"
Oh my god enough about Eldon already.
"They're okay I guess."
Tiffany raised her eyebrows, "Then why aren't you talking to him?"
I gesture towards him and Michelle. Tiffany and Stephanie exchanged looks,
"We've got this." Stephanie said.
Stephanie and Tiffany got up, oh no, what are they about to do, please don't embarass me in front of everyone.
"Hey Michelle, could you help me fix my makeup, yours is really good."
Before Michelle could open her mouth to protest Stephanie dragged her out of her seat and into the dressing room, along with Tiffany. Before Stephanie entered the room, she winked at me. I wish I could tell her that I don't like Eldon, and that I certainly do not want to talk to him, but I have no idea how to. Besides, Eldon is dumping me soon, she can find out then.

Eldon's P O V
I see Emily sitting across from me, her arms are crossed and she's staring at the floor. Suddenly her eyes widen and she looks at me.
"Eldon, sit here please." Emily gestured to the empty seat beside her on the couch. I hestitantly sat beside her. I have no idea why she's telling me to sit here, but I don't think this is gonna be good.
"Just sit here until I say you can go, okay?"
I nodded. I really don't want to question her motives...
About 10 minutes passed by, suddenly Emily started to laugh, she put her hand on my shoulder and she moved in closer.
"Eldon you're so funny!"
She kept laughing. Why is she doing this? I look up and see Stephanie, Tiffany, and Michelle walk out of the dressing room.
"I'll talk to you later okay Eldon?"
She gave me a fake looking smile and got up, walking towards Stephanie and Tiffany.
What was that all about?
"Okay everyone, time to go on stage."
Miss Kate announced.
We walked to the stage, my thoughts were running wild. Even though I should be thinking about the wildcard spot right now, but I just can't stop thinking about what just happened.

Michelle's P O V
I saw Emily touch his shoulder. I felt my stomach turn. Seeing Emily act like that towards Eldon just makes me so nauseous. I know Eldon doesn't like her back, but what if she still has feelings for him?
"Okay everyone, time to go on stage."
We headed to the stage, I tried to block out the thoughts of Emily and Eldon, and focus on Regionals and the wildcard spot, but it just wasn't working.
We lined up on stage. I stood between Eldon and Giselle. I look over to Emily. She's standing between James amd West...
That's weird, usually she would be beside Stephanie and Tiffany...
"and the wildcard spot goes to."
I didn't even realise they started yet...
"The Next Step!"
The audience applauded and our team cheered. My thoughts went from Emily and Eldon to Regionals momentarily. I hug Eldon, Chloe, Riley and a few others. We head off stage and go to our dressing room.
Everybody was still cheering, Miss Kate gave us a pep talk and told us we had an hour before semi-finals began. Right now, I don't care about Regionals. I just want Emily. I just want her to get over Eldon and for her to want me, not him, ME.
I go into my bag to find my phone, I have no idea where Eldon just went and I need to talk to him. I look at my phone and I see a new message from Emily.

Emily: I know you saw me "flirting" with Eldon. Don't worry, it was just to get Steph and Tiff off my back. He's all yours.

My heart broke slightly at this text. She really does think I have feelings for him. I don't like him like that at all though. How do I prove to her I don't like him?

Me: i promise you I don't like him.

This is all I can do for now, I better go find Eldon.
I spent 15 minutes walking around the building, no sight of Eldon anywhere. As I was looking for Eldon, I saw Emily with three Elite members. They look like they're yelling at her.
What should I do? Should I just go and help her? Yeah, why not? I walk over to Emily and the Elite members.
Emily is crying, tears were rolling down her soft cheeks. Instinctively I hug her tightly looking at the Elite members with disgust. How could they be so rude to someone so perfect.
"Hey Emily, is she like your girlfiend or something?" The freckled girl scoffed., making the other two Elite members laugh. Emily broke the hug and wiped her face.
"So what if she is?" when Emily said that, I felt something, like butterflies I guess. She wouldn't mind me being her girlfriend? Does that mean I have an actual chance with her?
"It would be disgusting." the freckled girl retorted.
"Get a life Tess." Emily seemed angry, her face was red and her voice was sharp.
The Elite girls left reluctantly, leaving me and Emily alone.
"Sorry about that, and thank you." Emily said looking at the ground.
"I didn't really do anything, but no problem, anyways we better go get ready for our next dance."
Emily nodded, and we walked back to the dressing room in silence. Just walking next to her was all I needed for my heart to beat like a billion times per minute.
